stay inside drove around this neighborhood and it was locked down for several blocks so they did establish a perimeter. we just found out about 10 minutes ago that around 3 o'clock this morning that they did take that wanted fugitive into custody. we understand that they had to deploy canine units and it appears that the dogs may have injured this particular person this person was taken to the hospital treated for nonlife threatening injuries. his or her name has not been released to the public, but it appears in right before we went to the 5 o'clock newscast to the kron 00:04am morning news i did see 3 swat team members in their armored trucks leave the scene saw a though is far from over it looks slowly but surely, winding down just a little bit guys. >>back to you all right, thanks a lot. we'll. >>so another big story that we're following this morning involves another case of the coronavirus now having been confirmed here in california

that's tomorrow night on a china, southern airlines so this is a going to be a huge impact not only for people flying to china but also for the airport is costing them thousands of dollars as you said there was a spike of nearly 15,000 more coronavirus cases in china yesterday that's the largest single-day rise since the epidemic began sfo usually has the most departures to china than any other airport in the country now even flights to hong kong have been canceled but there is still 21 round-trip flights there per week until the end of march so that is a way people can get out there a lot of bay area companies that frequent asia for business have stopped employee travel there altogether anyways this is out of precaution other coronavirus has killed more than 1000 and globally as you're saying there's about 60,000 people infected most of these patients being in china so flights will not resume out of that to china until the end

i'm tom steyer and i approve this message. >>well a bus only lanes may be coming to the bay bridge to help reduce congestion but the bay area toll authority says congestion on the approaches to the bridge is causing big delays for buses than the actual span itself. during the morning commute traffic is heaviest. not on the bridge but leading up to it to the structures east entrance in oakland, improving congestion there is where they plan to start. >>well there may be it may be appropriate at some point. >>and to establish a bus only land on the bay bridge. that lane really. meet the performance targets it would need unless we address the problems on approaches to the bay bridge that's on interstate 80. that's on interstate 5 8880 and on west grant. >>we'll work on these projects

good that folks in haiti right now heading into san francisco looking good the 70 oh bridge favorite everybody's fine. you know we have the usual crowd. so it's just now picking up and getting a little crowded crossing the bay, but i don't have any bad news to report, here's the san mateo bridge west 92 and you're going to be a little congested from the tolls along the flat section but up and over the high rise, you're good into foster city and san matteo we're checking the bay bridge commute, 80 west there. it is cash lanes fast track lanes everybody's back to pure buses too. >>it's going to be all the way through the to the bottom of the maze rather than you're looking at roughly 12 minutes to make your way and carpool lanes look great there wide open here at the pay gates all right we're checking in on traffic tracker we're looking at some more numbers and so far they are pretty stable, we're looking at highway for west that to contra costa county that's a 15 minute trip 6.80 doing fine for the trip to take all to danville the meme it's looking good southbound only 20 minutes for that connection and i don't see any problems for you

leaving the south bay so a nice transition on to north one oh one from san jose heading to menlo park well, robin return of fog this morning, even though we haven't seen any of it this week so far today. >>that is definitely changing an onshore flow pushing cool ocean air on into the bay and that's resulting in those misty looking conditions we do have north bay going to have the greatest impact to your visibility, san francisco at times as well while the lightest impact in san jose in areas out towards the tri valley that we still do have high pressure sitting in place but it's starting to gradually move to the east and this is opening the window. >>for that nice ocean cooled air to push on into the bay still no chance of rain really an insight ahead of us as we just do remain too dry in the big picture pattern for that you do see winds pushing in from the west today that's opposed to the northeast where winds were pushing a through earlier this week when we have those very breezy conditions but also those crystal clear and fog free conditions

temperatures today among the coolest that we've seen in awhile, 50's and 60's for your high temperatures. this is a lot closer to where we should be for this time of year upper 50's in millbrae san bruno and brisbane well looking at some low to mid 60's elsewhere in the bay, mountain view 65 for the high today with san jose. campbell and milpitas each at 66 for your highs, east bay temperatures still on the warm side with mid 60's for dublin pleasanton and livermore and low 60's for oakland berkeley and richmond, north bay temperatures showing the greatest difference from earlier this week you remember those warm daytime highs in the upper 70's and low 80's for napa and santa rosa. well today only mid 60's see how that's a lot closer to where we should be tomorrow similar date as to today with some foggy conditions to start in sunshine to finish the day for valentine's day. saturday will be your warmest day of the weekend and sunday bringing our only chance of rain and even then just a slight chance of a few showers up in the north bay. daria.

a mile beach oakland. hayward santa rosa and napa and nevada will all see visibility at times this morning, falling below a mile with fog staying with us well through 11:00am so don't expect these grey skies to be going anywhere anytime soon by the afternoon we do see the return of sunshine, it's going to take a while to get there 30's 40's and 50's for your current temperatures with livermore nevado petaluma some of our cooler spots in the 30's while oakland and alameda each in the low 50's right now temperatures this afternoon do eventually rise into the 60's but it's going to be a cooler range of temperatures than what we had been saying robin. >>a longer line into san francisco you're back up at the bay bridge toll plaza officially reaches the bottom of the maze. so yes, it's now at that point it's going to be a full wait for a few cash payers and fast trackers to but not the carpoolers they are zooming on through so we're still under 15 minutes very crowded at the pay gates, here's a peek at 5, 8, if you're about to leave livermore and head toward dublin, that's only a 10
