hospitalizations. >>i will tell you this is the side that keeps me up at night. it is now possible very possible that we had a hospitalizations that 8830 if we do not do more to stop the spread and those lighter blue peaks are plausible scenarios as well. so we could get as high as over 6,000 hospitalizations a scenario that reflects the challenges that new york ap and certainly we hope that this doesn't happen in colfax is skyrocketing hospitalizations will also mean skyrocketing deaths with average excuse me. >>890 deaths from covid 1920 20. >>edward 50 right now so by the end of the year we could be at 8.90 with every project a rate of 1.2 5. >>the colfax says there is a chance of reversing those numbers and bringing things down where they were a couple of months ago. he says that

means more social distancing more mask-wearing more handwashing he says certainly no social gatherings with people outside your household and certainly not doing that inside he says in fact you have a 10 to 20% less of a chance of getting covid-19 if you're outside this is in sight live in san francisco. dan kerman kron 4 news. >>thank you dan now another big story. i found at a southern california lake is former glee actress naya rivera reporter erin myers has the latest now from ventura county. >>officials here are confident that the body found this morning is that of actress naya rivera they tell us there are no signs of foul play or suicide saying this looks like a tragic accident and inter county sheriff's department confident the body found in lake this morning is that of actress naya rivera the 33 year-old went missing last wednesday while on the lake with her 4 year-old son based on the location where the body was found. >>physical characteristics of the body clothing found on the

body. and the physical condition of the body. as well as the absence of any other persons reported missing in the area. we're confident the body we found is that of ny took cash team discovered her body shortly after 9 this morning. she was found in a northeastern portion of the lake. near the surface of the water. the depth of the water in that area is is between 3560 feet deep. and there's heavy brush and trees, the actresses little boy was found on the rented pontoon boat and told officials he and his mom had gone swimming, but she didn't get out of the water. >>we believe it mid afternoon when she disappeared the perhaps being that the boat started drifting, it was an anchor. and that she mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat. but not enough to save yourself. this video shows family believed to be nigh as parents head out to the location where she was found. friends and colleagues also here today. you can imagine it's been extremely
6:18 pm
difficult time for her family throughout this ordeal. as fathers mothers sons and daughters. our hearts are with them and we share their grief for niles loss. >>naya rivera was known best for her role as santana lopez on glee but had many credits to her name. >>so sad and we will talk now about our 4 zone forecast as we move on here on kron 4 news at 6 a live look now here in san francisco along the embarcadero those blue sox skies we saw at 5 have disappeared and been replaced by some clouds and fog so cooler weather must be on the way. let's find out now with our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow they learn to avoid just an hour ago are looking at that same shot. >>and it was beautiful blue, but that low cloud deck now starting to creep further and further on shore low clouds make a return helping to drop the temperatures all around the bay area today, some places on the top of a good 20 degrees or so as a cooler air begin to come in from the coastal region and then nice
6:19 pm
moist air moving well on shore so temperatures almost 20 degrees cooler today in concord in livermore no triple digits, there today in fact into the 80's mid-eighties and live more in concord 80 degrees in fremont we had 79 degrees in san jose 61 degrees after a high of 71 yesterday in san francisco. so what changes to change in the weather patterns to that offshore wind you get to see breezy the low clouds and fog and much cooler weather more fall on the way overnight tonight we are going to likely see some drizzle along the immediate coastline that sea breeze that continues to kick in as well to 12 miles per hour right now and some ramon 10 in the oakland out of the west 12 miles per hour mill valley and 14 in the san francisco. the numbers right now we've got the cool fog and 50's in the san francisco still sunny and bright to very comfortable 79 degrees. in concord 75 degrees in livermore 74. in san jose and 76 degrees in santa rosa. all right overnight tonight, the fog and low cloud cover will start to thicken up but as it
6:20 pm
does pushing into the bay and probably some local valleys to but not all the way into the tri valley the concord you keep those areas mostly clear then as we head in toward the afternoon tomorrow skies are going to start up pretty nicely and should be a decent day but that number's going to start come down next few hours if you're stepping outside grab a jacket that breeze is blowing the sunny skies through 8 and that fog these creep on shore as we head toward 9 o'clock or so and that will start to cool down the temperatures tomorrow morning. we do a couple some patchy fog along the coast line and just inside the bay. by the middle of the day, mostly sunny skies to some fog along the coastline and lunchtime temperatures you're talking some 70's inland. we've got 60's inside the bay and cool 50's 60's along the coastline by the afternoon. we may see a few low 90's in the warmest interior spots and then inside the bay we've got a mixed bag kind of some 70's in a few 80's up toward the beaches bundle up those of cool clouds would likely linger and that means some temperatures in the 50's and the 60 some breaking down the numbers outside tomorrow afternoon, you're looking about 82 degrees in san jose
6:21 pm
very pleasant there 75 little breezy into hayward 65 degrees downtown san francisco, 73 degrees in the napa valley about 84 degrees in concord and should see about 90 degrees on the hot spots in livermore and about 80 degrees in santa rosa. so as we look at over the next few days we're going to change in the weather but just some minor changes cooling day things down into thursday and on friday, i think maybe a little more fog and cloud cover as we head in towards saturday and sunday looks like some around the bay area guys back to you. >>thanks lawrence now there has been a major change to a football franchise and many people are saying this is long overdue let's get the details now from kron 4 sports reporter jason dumas stage. >>and justine that's right for years, the football team in washington had been the subject for scrutiny due to the team's polarizing nicknames and in recent weeks, public pressure has mounted in the wake of protests against social injustice and police brutality. and today the organization announced that they will be retiring their nickname and logo for af after
