going to cooperate. rebecca. >> yeah, guys going to beautiful. if you want to just spend it outside apd going to a veterans day. festivity today will be perfect because we're going to see lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 70's. in fact, outside right now a gorgeous day. the beaches to the coast. look at this half moon bay. the sun is shining and we're going to see temperatures in the upper 60's and a whole lot of sunshine with mostly clear skies. it's all thanks to high pressure. that's going to continue to build around the bay area and really stick with us throughout the entire weekend. and it's just going to be beautiful and dry. no rain in the forecast. we just have to get some of these chilly temperatures. first before the 70's are going to start popping up so 40's 50's. for now and then those warmer ones are on the way. i'll have my complete forecast coming up right now are back and thanks for that. well, we had earlier issues on bar. bart has returned to normal service is no more delays. >> as you're traveling from the east bay into the city a little under 2 minutes for you to make that drive. so we're also starting to see some improvement there heading

'02, and our top story as violence and oakland. there have been 3 different shootings in 12 hours. yeah. the most recent one happened about 1 o'clock this morning while you were sleeping kron 4, sarah stinson in the newsroom with the very latest on all of this. sarah. >> james oakland police chief city officials. they're always talking about the efforts and the need to reduce gun violence. but unfortunately it continues to happen this time. it's a string of shootings in oakland. take a look at this map. we wanted you to get a good idea of where each shooting took place. the

latest shooting happened in front of lake merritt at 1420, lakeshore avenue. video from the scene shows investigators surrounding a white suv. someone was shot in the head around 1250 this morning. the person was rushed to the hospital. dozens of yellow evidence markers could be seen everywhere. no information has been released about that person's condition. keep you updated. the next shooting happened around 9.30 last night on 97th avenue near a street. this is about a mile and a half from the oakland zoo. oakland. police say a person was shot multiple times taken to the hospital. investigators are still trying to find the shooter. and of course the motive, lastly, a woman was shot downtown oakland in front of the fox theater there. it happened just before 02:30pm in the afternoon. broad daylight on 1900 block of telegraph avenue. the woman was taken to hospital. she's expected to survive. fox theater, though, canceled its concert last night because of the shooting and the investigation. all the

shootings remain under investigation. of course, the oakland police wrote on their facebook page just 2 days ago, the department posted saying instances of gunfire up 42% just from november first to november, 7th this year. police have recovered 1017 firearms. police say they're working as a community, of course, as i was saying to reduce this level of violence in oakland. but it just continues the department does encourage residents and business owners to install security cameras as well as alarms saying steps of technologies offer. crew. it deters crime and it also helps solve crimes after they occur this morning. i am made all the emails are making. the calls were trying to get you the latest information on all 3 of those shootings back to you and to do. all right. thanks a lot, sarah. >> 8. four's camila barco is following that live this morning from san francisco >> teacher 8 has been identified as andrew the minute. we are currently standing at the intersection where he was struck and at the site this morning and there's a growing memorial as you can see, to honor the educator. and this is just a few steps away from where he was working. now. this map gives you a better idea where the crash happened is just like i said, steps away from sherman elementaky school. zemin was struck at the intersection of union and franklin street just before 8 yesterday morning. it's unclear what happened moments before that when officers arrived to the scene, they found 2 cars involved in a and zemin on the 4. they helped revive him, but he died at the scene. now school is out for the day. but sherman elementary principal is going to gather students tomorrow morning. she is letting kids know one of their beloved educators is not with them

anymore. and the school is also providing grief counselors. now in a letter to parents, students and staff the school's principal says, quote. >> and you're taught from the heart. he was patients and kind and always a positive role model. i'm sure you will join me in offering our deepest condolences to his family and now back out live here. people are offering their with this memorial. there are candles there are flowers and this is all again to honor the educator. now, according to city data. >> there were 6 traffic crashes at this intersection between 2016 to 2018. and zemin is the pedestrian to be killed just walking the streets in san francisco this year alone had right beside me. there's actually a few people gathering here. as you can see, they have their bites. there's a few signs letting people know safe streets. now there's one sign this is just to bring

'06, right now and 4 people have been arrested in connection with the death of this young man. he's 17 year-old mohamed osman and his body was found in the parking lot of central elementary in january of 2019 police say that the suspects knew him but they don't have a motive at this point. there have been 4 arrests. 2 of those arrested are 23 year-old ruben gonzalez medina has of indianapolis and then 21 year-old antonio valencia conquer the other 2 are not name because they were minors at the time of the offense, death. >> 8. berkeley. 53 in concord still seeing some of those 40's in our north zone like novato coming in at 48 degrees. so the warmer temperatures all thanks to this high pressure that's going to continue to build. and even last into the weekend. so that is bringing nice a 70 degree mark and a lot of sunshine to enjoy. and we're going to steer clear of all the rainfall as well. it's going to be very dry here in the bay area. all that activity. the wet weather is going to be to the far north of oregon and washington. they'll be the rainfall while we remain definitely dry into the weekend and we're definitely going to some good temperatures depending upon where you're at. if you're going to be a heading towards the coast. really nice and half moon bay today. 69 degrees with mostly clear conditions that we're expecting a lot of sunshine, 70 degrees for downtown san francisco's high. 70 degrees. also for oakland downtown seh san jose rather, it's going to be a high of 73 and mostly in the 70's for your north bay

zone. now, how long these temperatures going to last well into the weekend like we've been mentioning, we're going to see 70's inland and low 70's around the bay 60's at the coast through the weekend with a whole lot of sunshine next week, though. we're going to get back to normal. i'll have that my seven-day around the bay coming up in just a bit. rebecca, thanks for that. all right. let's start in the south bay. we're looking at conditions along one. oh, one. >> as a traveling there from menlo park, a fine a little under 20 mind minutes. 2 3780 to 85 not tracking any major issues at this hour. and traffic has been light for the most part today, veterans day, a lot of people are staying at home. a little under 11 minutes from the east bay heading into the city and we've had the metering lights off for the most of the morning heading across towards the peninsula. little under 14 minutes for you to make that commute. checking on 6.80 as you're heading southbound from doubling down to fremont to 62 a little under 14 minutes. you see no major issues or delays along 8.80, a few pockets of slowing like through fremont

bay. well, this family has fought since then to raise awareness about the dangers that we face at beaches and now there are new sift systems in place for safety, including life rings safety information and also warning signs about the hazards of the ocean. >> hopefully these these first 3 stations that have been solved will will save lives. it will inspire the communities along the coast to do something similar bc as a stepping stone. >> to create more about this issue. there are axis to want educate the crypt and from. >> and that's why they created a foundation in his honor and doing a lot of good springing from that tragedy. >> 24 is the time california attorney general rob bonta was in san jose as part of his ongoing series of roundtable discussions to try to dress hate crime in our state. he met with both elected and community leaders to try to identify some concrete solutions to end what he calls this epidemic of hate after we've seen this. rash of hate

either give you a full refund or maybe rebooking for a later time. and even though we are getting some rain this month. mountain view is now asking residents to conserve water because the reservoirs, of course, are still way too low. so the city declared a stage one water shortage and they're asking everybody in the county to reduce water use by 10%. city leaders are anticipating the regional water supply to continue declining in the coming months. mountain view receives approximately 84% of its primary water supply from the san francisco public utilities commission and the commission itself is scheduled to consider a water shortage. emergency on november 23rd. >> 8.44 the time in the east bay hayward police say there is one less catalytic converter thief in their city because take a look at this picture of all of the stuff that a man originally arrested for possessing stolen rims was found with and he is the prime suspect in several catalytic converter thefts in hayward. you can see all of the items that they found in in his car.

>> i had 3 veterans that i found in sonoma county that i brought over here in july of 20 and they were given their military honors for these 3 veterans, these honors have been waiting for them for a long time. >> they have been sitting on the shelf for about 20 years. nobody had claimed them and i claim them might become their last family. >> even though these veterans of maybe unaccompanied these headstones show that there's a person behind each name with the story and possibly a family but never got any closure. we have had some people come forward say that my uncle. >> i had no idea it was my uncle is buried here. that's part of the reason ceremonies like this are held at the cemetery for families to get one last reunion it's just very heartwarming to know that they found someone. >> that probably was lost and what reunions may not happen often ultimately it's about giving that veteran piece. it's to help our veterans to find final resting place.
