>> welcome back to the kron 4 morning news a time for you now. 04:30am. >> on a very nice tuesday morning. we're so happy because john travel is back to give us the forecast again this morning and i hear it's going to be a nice few days until thursday. still be nice. yeah, yes, definitely. still looking at a nice few days ahead of us we are looking at conditions out there that will at least be staying dry. >> both today and tomorrow morning. so we're going to have a couple of dry morning commute ahead of us just a little bit of fog out there from time to times, which has resulted in some dense fog advisories for some of our inland valleys and then across parts of the north bay to so aside from that, we do have a smooth commute to work. but you know how to do it when

it's foggy out there slowed down a little bit as you encounter those pockets. the live look outside right now at your berkeley hills camera does show you what is overall clear conditions from the berkeley hills. pretty easy to see where that fog is hanging out in fog cast. it is out into the central valley right up into portions of solano county pockets of the north bay and also pockets of the peninsula. so be mindful of those lower visibility areas. it's not for everyone but just be mindful of it is you do make your way into work or just out of the house in general radar does show some partly cloudy skies across the south bay generally today is going to come along with increasingly clear conditions, daytime highs eventually in the 60's, although right now we're in the 50's petaluma nap of allay berkeley and oakland beach at 54 while hayward and san francisco city currently at 56 degrees. a little bit of fog out there that suppose you can see towards the afternoon that fog will clear lots of sunshine making for a nother. pretty comfortable afternoon. i'm talking the potential of some showers thursday night into friday morning. still to

come in the rest of your forecast back over to irena. john, thank you for that. all right. let's get a look at your traffic on this tuesday morning. no major issues or delays heading from the east bai as you're traveling. >> into the city to that 3 months to exit a little under 10 minutes for your drive time this morning. the san mateo bridge heading across towards the peninsula. you can make that trip a little under 13 and the richmond, sandra fell commute traveling at a richmond across towards sandra fell traffic picking up a tad bit. a little under 2 minutes to make that drive. the golden gate bridge about 20 minutes traveling from the north bay into the city will have a weather and traffic coming up. for now, let's get back to the news. well, in the east bay oakland police are investigating another couple of shootings that happened within about 5 hours of each other. latest shooting involved a mother and a daughter who were shot while inside their home kron four's. dan kerman has that story for us. >> another violent weekend in the city of oakland at 1030 sunday night. a woman and her 11 year-old daughter were shot

well inside a home in the 7500 block of sterling drive. >> this is happening way too frequently and it is maddening seeing the blatant disregard for human life. both are in stable condition and expected to survive. but council member lauren taylor says. >> people have to find nonviolent ways to resolve conflict. we have to. >> engage with family members who we know have a weapon and you know, may be considering using it that we really pleased with them and convince them that there are other ways to resolve issues challenges that they're facing. >> the serenity of lake merritt has been shaken to its core by violence as well as seen on video from the citizen app. police were back along lakeshore avenue early monday morning when a man and woman were shot both are in stable condition. but this is becoming a pattern on thursday, a 22 year-old woman sitting in a car just down the street was shot and killed.

the kron 4 morning news on a very nice tuesday morning after admit the time for you now is going to be 04:44am. >> hopefully you got some great rest. so you're all ready for an even better next few days. well, our meteorologists on travel is in this morning and he's telling us about the forecast to understand thursday. john is only the tension could see some light showers. yeah. looks like thursday's at least our best shot of that rain at thursday night into friday morning. even then it's looking like a slim chance of. >> a few showers here and there. this is a pretty dry week compared to where we've been certainly the past couple of weeks which had been those at least one chances of rainfall high pressure is to blame for keeping this one little bit drier in comparison. your view outside of half moon bay this morning does show a little bit of the low lying cloud cover, visibility. a half moon. bay is fine. but that's not to say that's the case across the rest of the bay area. in fact,

we are under a dense fog advisories this morning for portions of marine sonoma and napa counties as well as out into the inland east bay and then especially the central valley for some dense to leave. fog has formed out that direction. just be mindful of these pockets of lower visibility as you do make your way out of the house this morning as we are seeing a couple of areas out there that are a little less than ideal as you do. make your way into work. as for satellite and radar. we do remain dry. we have a couple of sprinkles above san jose and the blows. aside from that, though we did see a passing cold front last night that really did nothing for us. aside from bring us some cloud cover and some brief breezy conditions otherwise. today does see increasingly clear skies. some nice sunshine towards the afternoon today. increasingly cloudy tonight. but remaining dry and tomorrow will bring partly cloudy skies all over again. so we really are looking at a pretty calm forecast. there's your weak cold front that did bring us the cloud cover that we're in the midst of otherwise this high pressure ridge is simply too strong to be seeing any sort of rainfall just yet. we
