ha... ha... introducing the all-new 2022 nissan frontier. ♪ >> from the bay area's local news station. we now with breaking news. >> breaking news this sunday here on kron. 4 news at 6 o'clock from wisconsin where someone plowed a car into a christmas parade. dozens of folks know injured. that is where we start. good evening, everyone. i'm jonathan mccall and i'm justine waldman. more than 20 people have been injured after this suv plowed right through a christmas parade in waukesha, wisconsin. that's a city just outside of milwaukee. >> the police chief is saying there is still very early on

in the investigation right now. but the suspects red suv has been recovered. he sought. they're flying right through the parade route. no word yet on if this was intentional. but we're staying on top of it will bring you the latest information as soon as it comes into the newsroom right now. the mayor of waukesha, wisconsin is talking about the incident. let's listen in. >> so horrible senseless tragedy. i walked in the parade at the beginning. us all happy children sitting on the curb us all happy parents behind their children. i can still see the smiling faces. the parade is a celebration for our community. today. our community face har tragedy and what should have been a community celebration. i'm deeply saddened to know that so many in our community when to operate but ended up dealing with injury. and heartache. my heart goes out to all those affected by this senseless act. my heart goes out to those injured as well as to their families. my heart

at casper avenue and main street. watch. our christmas parade was taking place when a red suv drove the barricades. what's problem heading down yes, i can. the vehicle struck. more than 20 individuals. some of girls were children and are some fatalities as a result of this incident. will not releasing information of kelly's at this time. wall we're working notify the family members of the deceased. an officer did discharge his weapon at the suspect vehicle to try to stop the vehicle. no bystanders were injured result of the charge. also involved. as a 6 has been with the department for 6 and a half years. war for fire department to the hospital. chief harvell speak on that. he saw temper

walnut creek nordstrom store last night as looters flooded it shoppers today's reacting to that crazy scene in the news that happened as a result in walnut creek. police released new information on what happened today, including that there were 80 people involved and they have already made 3 arrests. >> and plan out to monitor that shopping area throughout the evening after receiving some information that that same group may be coming back again tonight for sale in the second live for us in walnut creek tonight with the very latest on this story. taylor definitely a wild scene. >> absolutely. in some police are still out here in the area. now monitoring obviously this area after what happened in unfolded last night. normally nordstrom closes at 07:00pm. but tonight it close early at 05:00pm as a precaution. some other stores also took their lead on that one. and right now i'm actually standing in the road broadway plaza because this

street is still closed down as well to deter criminals from coming through here in their cars as we saw in those wild scenes that came out last night. now despite everything that they've done to stop this from happening. there was another unrelated shoplifting incident earlier this afternoon. >> it was pretty shocking we had made an appointment at the apple store here and we've had to be a safe place to come because we live in stockton says we want to go home at creek and so we're like, oh, maybe not after dark shoppers and locals living in walnut creek on edge sunday. >> after a mob of 80 looters stormed the nordstrom store on saturday. witness threatened there and who also manages a restaurant across the street described the chaotic scene from saturday night happy tables were up at the windows looking to see what's going on. we to lock the front door i to lock the back door. the whole restaurant just kind of stopped for a minute and was just watching because there was a mob of people that police are flying and it was the scene of the movie isn't walnut creek. police say.

>> it happened around 09:00pm while the store was open with employees and shoppers inside started receiving calls that there were tons of cars putting into broadway plaza area. >> then we received reports that people dressed in mask and dark clothing were running into nordstrom. they were clogging the streets with their they had crowbars and we're running out with property and getting into the vehicles in flames scene. police say. >> 2 employees were assaulted and one was pepper sprayed, but their injuries are minor. so far. they arrested 3 people 30 year-old dana dawson of san francisco. 32 year-old joshua underwood of san francisco and 18 year-old rodney robinson of oakland charges include robbery burglary, conspiracy possession of stolen property. illegal possession of a firearm by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon. mayor kevin wilk says these brazen thefts will not be tolerated. our police department. >> we'll have made and will

make arrests. we're going to be working with the da's office to have the most serious charges that we can possibly have and we will be encouraging the da's office to charge them with the highest crimes possible on sunday. >> police stepped up patrols in this area and put up barriers to cut off car access on broadway plaza. one of the entrances to the store is located despite the increased police presence a witness says other thieves were back at it on sunday. >> i sighed nordstrom employee run out of the building notify the police that 2 people had ran out of the back with items and as a kind of followed a woman of the coroner said she saw and then about 2 or 3 police suvs, lights and sirens when chasing down the street after them. police confirmed there was an unrelated grab and run incident sunday afternoon. >> and say they caught an individual involved. >> now if they haven't done so already, many of these stores are now shutting down closing down. and that's again, of course, after police alerted some of these nearby businesses that they received information. that same large

season is in full swing at san francisco international airport. the busiest day began friday and the rush did not lose momentum over the weekend. we're coming back from a 40th birthday of a spending some time case and some wind up in napa going to maui his first time we've gone on in egypt with our family and longtime us. a mom could not be more excited. there are other first-time travelers since the pandemic. i didn't do any traveling last year. it's amazing. i mean, to have your first trip after a couple years when you're used to being able to go wherever you want, right. worrying that it went well. it's a great there's like so many precautions. but like everything feels really, really safe on the sunday before thanksgiving almost 50,000 passengers are departing from sfo. that's 60% down from pre-pandemic thanksgiving travel in 2019 with vaccinations off and international travel mandate ease airport officials project more traffic over christmas thanksgiving is such a domestic focus travel, period. >> whereas we're very excited
