police say they will continue to investigate and will not tolerate threats based on gender or race or religion. the san francisco fire says no one was hurt in this large building fire in chinatown last night. you're looking at a video from the citizens app. it happened at a 3 story building on wavering around 6, 30 look at the smoke. fire crews say that fire was contained, but they do not know how that fire started. health and firefighters also had to respond to a pretty big fire that broke out yesterday morning at a homeless encampment. this is video of that fire from the citizens app. it was near east 12th and 16th avenue in oakland. thankfully, there have been no reports of any deaths or injuries related to this fire. the cause of that is still being investigated. well, we have new video this morning showing an arsonist caught on ring security video out of carson in southern california. look to our sun is seen dousing 5 vehicles and gas before setting them on fire.

now the owners of those cars are speaking out, say they're devastated by what happened. mary beth mcdade has that story for us. >> and douses several cars with gasoline. he proceeds to pour more on the ground between them and then nice. all 5 cars in front of a car's an apartment complex on east monroe street. you can see the suspect flee in the upper right hand corner of the screen and all the cars on fire. at the same time, we were woken up to a loud pop. maybe the tires popping that. sure. and then the car alarm going ran. the ad says that when she heard all sorts of commotion around 4.30, friday morning, she checked her ring cameras and saw her car and 4 of neighbors, cars all burning. i woke up my deck the cars are on fire. we all right now here on out there for my brother was in his. we're all in our pajamas. she says her

dad grabbed the apartment building's fire extinguishers and tried to control the flames and then grabbed a hose. and what down the walls of the building to keep it from burning. meantime, maria woke up the other families that live in the building. we welcome all the neighbors. we told everybody to get out, get important belongings if they need to and just get out and go to the back of the building. within minutes, firefighters arrived and put out the fire. the building wasn't damaged, but the car's severely charred. i never expected anything like this to happen to us, especially in this community that we all love so dearly. there are 5 families that live in this building. many of the residents are small children. the residents say they have no idea who would want to hurt them. and we have never have any issues before. like nothing of this ever happened before. >> it's like your first time just like it. we wouldn't wake up those 5 minutes like they were take for more minutes. we wouldn't be telling you that might story.

seeing these calm, clear conditions remaining through the day today that will allow temperatures to bump up as warm as they will be. now to our north and west. we do have multiple systems that are pushing their way into the pacific northwest. this is resulting in consistently rainy, snowy conditions from that coastline up in oregon and washington to the cascades where there's a lot of snowfall coming down, that energy is going to stay up there for a couple of days before pushing our direction come thursday, which is the lightest impact of rainfall for the bay and some more snow in the sierra intel than today. and tomorrow, unseasonably warm with daytime highs both today and tomorrow climbing well into the 70's and in some cases, even the upper 70's for some of our inland areas. after that, we'll start to see a cool down on wednesday and then comes thursday with our best chance of rainfall of this forecast. anywhere from a 10th to a quarter of an inch of rainfall is expected as we reach the tail end of the week. today, though, it's all about the sunshine and some mid 70's for
