forward to bowl today and tomorrow. daytime highs rising well into the 70's golden gate bridge. it's clear this morning and temperatures are all that cold. >> alameda and san francisco are hanging out at 50 degrees now for the north bay. it is pretty chilly. we're down in the 30's from fairfield, napa and over to petaluma and santa rosa easily or colder spots on the map right now. skies will remain clear throughout the day and dry for that matter. both for the bay area in the sierra nevada and temperatures will they are climbing back into the mid to even upper 70's for a few spots. really, really comfortable weather unseasonably so both today and tomorrow will be bringing that. but what kind of changes do we have after this? i've got the full breakdown of your forecast. still to come, reyna thought. thank you for the hour. let's get a look at the traffic this morning traveling from the east bay into the city. a little under 10 minutes. >> for your drive there. let's go ahead and get a look at the san mateo bridge and across towards the peninsula. about 13 minutes for you out of richmond heading across or sandra feel still pretty quiet

other resources of the borders were set up by thousands meals. >> every day it's a main pedestrian border. so we've got about 10,000 people a day walking across that border and some of them. i talked to a young lady today that 60 kilometers and it started it was snowing today. it's it's really cold. it was 60 kilometers. and then we're waiting in line to exit ukraine for over 12 hours. no food, no water was the first meal that she had 3 days block says. >> most of the people he sees our families made up of women and children can see behind me. they're just people coming in. these buses are making laps to and from the border, bringing people what is essentially, you know what you guys what way to a walmart parking lot. and from there it is kind of figuring it out. so a lot of people really unsure their accommodation centers getting set up in addition to their work in poland. world central kitchen is also supporting local restaurants, preparing meals in odessa in the vive, which are 2 cities

police say they will continue to investigate and will not tolerate threats based on gender or race or religion. the san francisco fire says no one was hurt in this large building fire in chinatown last night. you're looking at a video from the citizens app. it happened at a 3 story building on wavering around 6, 30 look at the smoke. fire crews say that fire was contained, but they do not know how that fire started. health and firefighters also had to respond to a pretty big fire that broke out yesterday morning at a homeless encampment. this is video of that fire from the citizens app. it was near east 12th and 16th avenue in oakland. thankfully, there have been no reports of any deaths or injuries related to this fire. the cause of that is still being investigated. well, we have new video this morning showing an arsonist caught on ring security video out of carson in southern california. look to our sun is seen dousing 5 vehicles and gas before setting them on fire.

now the owners of those cars are speaking out, say they're devastated by what happened. mary beth mcdade has that story for us. >> and douses several cars with gasoline. he proceeds to pour more on the ground between them and then nice. all 5 cars in front of a car's an apartment complex on east monroe street. you can see the suspect flee in the upper right hand corner of the screen and all the cars on fire. at the same time, we were woken up to a loud pop. maybe the tires popping that. sure. and then the car alarm going ran. the ad says that when she heard all sorts of commotion around 4.30, friday morning, she checked her ring cameras and saw her car and 4 of neighbors, cars all burning. i woke up my deck the cars are on fire. we all right now here on out there for my brother was in his. we're all in our pajamas. she says her

dad grabbed the apartment building's fire extinguishers and tried to control the flames and then grabbed a hose. and what down the walls of the building to keep it from burning. meantime, maria woke up the other families that live in the building. we welcome all the neighbors. we told everybody to get out, get important belongings if they need to and just get out and go to the back of the building. within minutes, firefighters arrived and put out the fire. the building wasn't damaged, but the car's severely charred. i never expected anything like this to happen to us, especially in this community that we all love so dearly. there are 5 families that live in this building. many of the residents are small children. the residents say they have no idea who would want to hurt them. and we have never have any issues before. like nothing of this ever happened before. >> it's like your first time just like it. we wouldn't wake up those 5 minutes like they were take for more minutes. we wouldn't be telling you that might story.

>> well, that was mary beth mcdade reporting. and happening today, faith leaders are calling on the oakland unified school district to pause all school closures urges the group plans to hold a press conference at 11:00am in front usd offices. the district says the closures are needed because of declining enrollment and money problems. the first round of closures are set to begin at the end of this school year. as covid cases drop across the country. so has the demand for those free at-home covid test. the biden administration says only about half of the 500 million test made available in january, remain unclaimed. the government says it received 45 million orders on the first day. now officials say they're getting less than 100,000 requests today. still, the white house says the program is a step towards having a plan in place to respond to future surges. well, the u.s. house of representatives is lifting its mask mandate ahead of president joe biden. state of the union address this week

making mask-wearing optional throughout the capitol complex. the capitol physician announced the changes yesterday just before congress is set to return to washington today. data from the cdc shows the washington dc area is at a green level meeting. the covid-19 transmission is low. there. you don't want to tune in tomorrow at 06:00pm to watch president biden's deliver his first state of the union address. kron four's going to have full coverage of that speech. for your money. walmart is helping people are going to continue to use its delivery services even as covid restrictions are being east. the company announced that there is adding going to be adding more automated fulfillment centers as well as delivery trucks. there's can also be an expansion to services. that leaves the deliveries outside of your home. well, during the early part of the pandemic, walmart introduced to our express delivery service. 3rd party companies like doordash also make deliveries from walmart.

seeing these calm, clear conditions remaining through the day today that will allow temperatures to bump up as warm as they will be. now to our north and west. we do have multiple systems that are pushing their way into the pacific northwest. this is resulting in consistently rainy, snowy conditions from that coastline up in oregon and washington to the cascades where there's a lot of snowfall coming down, that energy is going to stay up there for a couple of days before pushing our direction come thursday, which is the lightest impact of rainfall for the bay and some more snow in the sierra intel than today. and tomorrow, unseasonably warm with daytime highs both today and tomorrow climbing well into the 70's and in some cases, even the upper 70's for some of our inland areas. after that, we'll start to see a cool down on wednesday and then comes thursday with our best chance of rainfall of this forecast. anywhere from a 10th to a quarter of an inch of rainfall is expected as we reach the tail end of the week. today, though, it's all about the sunshine and some mid 70's for
