someone discovered on the playground at party park, a passer by stumbled across the vandalism thursday night. but police say it's unclear how long ago it was written or how many people may have seen. it's a terrible situation and i don't like it. police say the graffiti included racial slurs directed at african-americans. the latest u.s. census statistics show african-americans make up less than 2% of the population. well, caucasians account for about 56% of the city. we have true legal community. lots of mothers and young kids. >> and the thought of someone doing a a a outrageous statement. it's really upsetting at this time. police do not have a suspect but say they are investigating this case as a hate crime. one neighbor says a similar incident was reported here 2 years ago. >> adding though, that this act comes as a shock. the hope is no kids saw the graffiti

love. the kids so young they can't read. but that's not the point. alex sandro who was visiting from seattle with her 8 year-old daughter is upset. people need to talk with a key. talk that the teenagers probably. >> is. it comes from teenagers in palo alto, phillipe djegal all kron. 4 news. >> police in nevada have a rest of the bay area, man. that's the suspect. photo for stabbing death. that happened in san jose and made the suspect is kenneth rogers from alameda county, san jose. police say that he stabbed a woman to death. may 15th. they work with police in las vegas to make that arrest. rogers eventually will be sent to santa clara county to face murder charges. 8 suspects are in jail tonight after a large drug bust takes place in the east bay. >> yesterday, the alameda county narcotics task force seized over 40 pounds, fentanyl pills and powder and nearly 50 grams of black tar heroin and methamphetamine. these are images of the items that were seized. a ghost gun

was also collected. all 8 suspects were arrested on drug trafficking charges. in national news, president biden says that he wants to work out some kind of a plan to protect abortion rights and that's why he hosted a call with democratic governors from across the country. washington correspondent basil john reports on why they say this meeting was necessary. good evening. the president and governors were all disappointed with the decision to overturn roe v wade. >> and believe they need to take the appropriate steps to protect the right to an abortion. >> this is not over. it's not over. >> friday, president joe biden told democratic governors that he is looking at every available option to protect abortion access after the supreme court overturned roe v wade, the terrible extreme decision in my view, a pending lives and impacting on the health and safety millions of women. new york governor kathy hochul says states like hers are stepping up to help. just ahead. full states are not going to have to take care of

is overlooking market right outside our building. yeah, exploratorium there. we call this the bucky ball on the weekend. hopefully we have learned what that is. >> a lawrence karnow jessica lawrence karnow joining us now with a little bit more on the forecast but also the official rainy season ended yesterday. yeah. over the totals like this year can string yet ends on june 30th. we started the news rain season now totals. of course, they were very impressive in some spots, not so bad in others. >> but here are the totals for the whole season. so here you go. san francisco ended up with over 18 inches of rain. normal is almost 23 inches. so that came at 82% of normal santa clara really for the bay area. the probably the worst conditions just over 7 inches of rainfall. normally they almost have 13, half their only 54% of normal. oakland at over 17 inches of rain. that's not bad at all. 92% of normal in lot of the new year. that's not bad in santa rosa over 26 inches of rain. that 78% of normal hayward, you had over

14 inches of rain, 89% normal and livermore had over 12 inches of rain at 81% of normal. and we did have some precipitation early on this morning. so we're off and running in the new rainier. we have for hundreds of an inch of rain. parts of the coastal sections. so that fog, yeah, we're not getting the rain out there. we're getting precipitation, the form of some drizzle. it's going to be back again there tonight. probably going to see some bubbling out there on the roads, low clouds and fog surging on shore, making their way through the bay. now it's going to fill all the way into the central valley overnight tonight into early tomorrow morning. so we wake up to that bank of fog and that drizzle along the coastline with that, we'll see some cooler temperatures to again as these numbers going stay well below the average for this time of year in the san francisco grab your jacket, 50's and 60's their cool 50's and breezy and some drizzle along the coastline, especially in late night, an early morning hours. temperatures you head in the south bay going to be warmer. you'll see some 70's there into the east bay. yeah, probably some mid 70's and that's about as warm as it's going to get temperatures staying unusually cool throughout the holiday weekend. thank you, lawrence.

a huge brawl broke out on a carnival cruise ship as it was heading home to new york. >> not exactly how crews life is represented in ads, as you will see, trouble began late tuesday night over claims of cheating passengers who said their significant others were touching each other and appropriately. and when an argument turned violent as many as 60 people were involved, the crowd moved from a dance floor to a casino area. video shows people punching and pushing each other and even smashing beer bottles over each other's heads, at least one woman was battling slashed, took an hour for security crews to calm everyone down, but not before the coast was called out. meantime, this video has been viewed online roughly 2 million times so far. >> still ahead, if you think you have irs problems this year, consider the new jersey woman who can convince the agency that she's not dead. >> also, the list of those set
