the new stadium for the nhl franchise. but that's not stopping fans from embracing them as their local team already. >> news3 joins us live at the highway and twang. >> reporter: raiders technically belong to oakland, that's not stopping a l fans out here in las vegas from accepting them as their official home team. take a look at the tour. you can see that mighty tower of the oakland raiders. they build here, a lot of folks out here at this bar just trying to show their support. this week, we got our first look at what the proposed 65,000 seat stadium could look like. that comes a tea a hefty price tag. $1.9 billion. this is still far from a done

materialize. although we did have the showers this morning. i've got the pictures to prove it. you can see the dreary start to the day. only getting a little sunshine and clouds building over the mound. still some more clouds. enough clouds to suppress our temperatures. look at this. we are in the 80 -- it's august folks and in the mid 80s. across the shrill. that extends over southern nevada as well. hardly a 90 degree reading. the only thing you have to do is go to triple digits. how about 93 in pahrump. 85 up in indian springs, just really nice day. after that rain went through this morning. and an interesting active morning. but once it went through, a few showers up over the mountains, you can see a sprinkle right there. what are we looking at tonight? partly cloudy skies. low 70s in the cities last night. it should be there. and we're talking about 60s out

it will be warming up by monday for the first day of school, i can guarantee you that. my forecast up ahead. >> closed east of third -- due to recent storm damage. these are pictures posted by the national park service of the repair work that's taking place. over the past 24 hours, storms dumped at least a inch and a half of rain causing flash the road around ten last night. and most of you familiar with the area, the road does provide access to cotton wood dove mer reeb nah. it's been washed out in some locations. and the it's covered with debris in other areas. the goal is to complete the repairs and reopen that road by tomorrow. now a news3 crime alert, two deadly shootings earlier this morning. one in henderson and the other

neighborhood near commerce and kerry on castle street. they found a 19-year-old man shot in the road there. he was pronounced dead at the scene. police say the shootings does not appear to be a random act of violence. anyone who can help the investigation to call crime stopper (702) 385-5555. and in henderson, a man accused of shooting his roommate. this happened shortly after six. in a authorities say a neighbor heard shots fired at another house and called 911. henderson police arrived on scene within about five minutes of the gaited community and took one man into custody. the victim described as a man in his late 20s or early 30s. we've lived here for about 6-7 years, and this is the first time anything like this happened. >> this is the first time we've

in the house at the time. she was not injured. two downtown las vegas casinos will pay a big fine to the nevada gaming control board. the federal two complaints against them. the sun reports the owner of a golden gait casino and sister casino in las vegas the will pay a $250,000 fine for improperly documenting customer pay outs. the golden gait casino never recorded a $5,000 pay out in 2015. the dean was accused of different customer without checking that person's credit. and an alert, if you're making plans tonight, ndot restricting lanes on the i 15 south along the las vegas strip, starting at 9:00 p.m. all for paving repairs just south of spring mountain roads. all lanes will reopen 5:00 a.m. sunday. a big make over for a -- a

school. and nevada senator and minority leader harry reed spoke of the event. including 12 and a half million dollars to restore both buildings to their original appearance. the school first opened in 1923 as a grammar school and was the first school to open its doors to african-american students back in the 1940s. they closed in the 60s and was still used. and today, not just any collected by the biggest entertainers in las vegas and his wife. and then emily started selling off aitems from the bizarre property known as the slammer. the 8,000 square foot home is in the area of wigwam and rain bow in the southwest valley. after 23 years, they moved out last year. now it's being emptied out so the home can be levelled. everything was up for sale. including furniture and
