check it out! >> and live from a patrol car, how this man got behind the wheel of a police cruiser and led police on a chase through town. hi, everybody. new details after a 28-year-old mother was left to die in a valley street. i'm reed cowan. >> i'm latoya silmon. the victim's mother is speaking out about her daughter's you will only see on news 3. >> reporter: it's right here where neighbors found 28-year-old moinee wade's lifeless body. the murder suspect, jevon hudson, told police that he was never here. detectives offered hudson a lie detector test but he declined the request. >> it's sad that a man could just kill a woman like that and leave her on the street. >> reporter: mary turner still can't believe her 28-year-old

near jones and alta, 39-year-old jevon hudson shot wade in the head and left her to die on the street. >> i hope you rot in hell. i do. i hope you rot in hell. >> reporter: this arrest report said the two were involved in an extramarital affair. hudson was married. the murder suspect told police last tuesday he picked up wade and they headed out to a strip club. the two fight. he left and he never saw her again that night. turner will never forget the last time she would see her daughter. >> she got dressed. i said i will see you later. >> reporter: days passed and turner could not get in touch with her daughter. after police released these two photos of wade's tattoos trying to identify her -- >> what kind of tattoos did moinee wade have?

pled no contest. >> crazy to know she's been through this before. that's the part that angers me. >> corbani held without bail tonight in jail. she's expected to be in court tuesday. a new camera sitting on top of black mountain expected to help firefighters prevent future brush fires from getting out of hand. ultra-camera give firefighters a fire cameras have helped slow down more than 100 fires in the lake tahoe area. the nevada seismological lab in reno is in charge of setting up the cameras. the director says these fires save millions of dollars in firefighting costs. >> the price in fire when you make a mistake cost more money than it would ever take to deploy cameras throughout nevada and run them for the next 50

$30,000 to set up. kent says his office would like to have three or four more cameras to feel fully protected. authorities in oklahoma have released video of the shootout that killed double-murder suspect michael vance sunday night. vance is wanted for two killings. two police officers were also shot on october 23rd. a manhunt ensued. at some some point many believe he was headed to las vegas. you can see how he never left oklahoma. police followed upen a tip and began a chase that ended up in a shootout killing him. italian firefighters rescued a dog from under the rubble of a collapsed building. it happened a day after one of the country's strongest earthquakes in decades. this video shows rescuers guided by their own dog digging into the rubble to free a dog.

the culinary union are launching her get out the vote campaign. they are too young to vote but they are concerned. one week until election day, students are weighing in on the presidential campaign. news 3's denise rosch has more on their point of view. >> early voting here in clark county ends this friday. but today, students across the country are participating in mock elections. they say what happens mere at have a major effect on their lives. the results are hardly scientific. >> i feel like it's been a lot of drama. >> reporter: five seniors from cheyenne high school asked their opinions. show of hands how many would vote for clinton, how many trump, and did the final debate influence that 4-1 split.

a north dakota highway patrol investigating a case of vandalism at the state capital. the front of the building, including the doors, sidewalks and walls. they left a sign reading, you can't drink oil. that's a possible reference to the north dakota access pipeline controversy. the area is closed until the mess is cleaned up. you have to see this one. a couple of's late-night swim came to an abrupt end. swimming down the water is a crocodile. it happened in zimbabwe.

crocodile was lurking in the shadows, deep at the bottom of the pool. it lurched toward the woman. the man instantly jumped out of the water to safety and goes to help her. that woman got bit but we're told her injuries were not severe. >> i could not never get in a pool again. [laughter] an oklahoma man arrested after police say he stole a patrol car and led officers on a high-speed chase. they say he did all of this while on facebook live. >> i'm in the where is my sirens at 1234 [ sirens ] >> check it out! >> authority says a police officer was inside a coffee shop and left her keys in the car. 25-year-old john penny took the cruiser and sped off, reaching speeds up to 120 miles per hour. after a 40-minute pursuit, police caught the suspect when he parked the cruiser at his parents' home. now, police say following the facebook video made it easier

together. but how low did they go in our neighborhood? quite a range here. mostly in the mid-50s for our neighborhoods but down to 51 for your friends in north las vegas. 52 in summerlin. 55 at the lakes. the lows for this morning. and we'll see similar temperatures for tonight. if you are not used to this cool weather, fear up. -- gear up. woke up to clouds this morning. you can see clearing outside we're lingering in the 60s ranging from 65 for spring valley. 63 centennial. 64 summerlin. in the upper 60s on the east side of town. winds are light for now. but they will pick up by tomorrow morning around 3:00. 66 degrees for mead. low 40s on the mountains. 60 degrees for pahrump and low 60s for indian springs. calm before the next storm starts to roll in. and we're tracking some active

afternoon the area of low pressure passing through. we'll see the winds pick up tomorrow. but here's what we're tracking right now -- some showers spreading across central and northern nevada now making its way into our area. s starting to clear up. we're not exactly anticipating any of the activity for our area. possibly crossing the 15 into moapa and possibly mesquite getting a few light shouse. other than that we'll be dry. you can see a look at the it clearing up and moving out, dry weather will continue for us. winds out of the north tomorrow. we have stormy conditions expected across arizona. we will still stay dry, though. actually warmer weather is on the horizon for us later this week. overnight lows tonight, it will be very similar compared to last night. if you are going anywhere, pack an extra layer. highs tomorrow will be a few degrees warmer compared to our temperatures today. so slowly beginning that warming trend.

like i said, the rinds are gonna start picking up overnight, 3:00, 4:00, 10, 15-mile-an-hour breezes. as we wake up tomorrow morning, we'll start out in the mid-50s. by lunchtime, the low 70s. a lot of sunshine expected for tomorrow. highs reaching right around 76 degrees. so, yeah, a few degrees warmer compared to today. winds 10, 20 miles an hour. and that breezy trend will be short-lived. after that, the continues flirting with the 80s. breaking the 80-degree threshold by saturday. don't forget to set your clocks back on sunday. winds will kick up just slightly on that day. not much change in our weather pattern after that. flirting with the 80s and making it to the 80s again on monday. it's not -- right when it starts to feel like fall, then it's not gonna feel like fall. we can't make up our mind. >> a little bit of a tease until it's for sure.
