fired and then the vehicle sped off. police are looking for that person right now...and trying to figure out exactly what happened there. right now... police are telling us they found a pool of blood in front of the paris hotel and casino last night but the strange thing here-- officers have not found anyone injured in the area. we are working on getting more details about this for you. breaking right now...clean-up is underway near i-15 and the 2-15. n-h-p says they chased a driver who then ended up losing control and driving off the road. the driver then rolled and hit a light pole. n-h-p tells us the driver was going up to 110 miles per hour at one point. two men were taken to the hospital after this crash. there's still a mess there... high pressure and dry air are the dominant features across the southwest today and through the weekend.

for the person responsible for a drive-by shooting near jones and washington. meanwhile...the man who was hit is recovering in the hospital. the victim says he was walking down the street last night when someone pulled up shot at him and drove off. neighbors say it's normally a very quiet area. ((("it was just four pops like pop pop pop pop. i looked through the shades and i was like oh s my friend was like shut the shades shut random or if the victim was targeted. and a shooting near a boys and girls club--fortunately no children were there when it happened. someone was shot near cambridge and twain around 10pm. we're working to get more information for you. a property manager shoots and kills a man after checking in on a home. investigators are trying to determine if the violent confrontation was a matter of self defense. this happened yesterday afternoon near twain and boulder highway.

after being told someone might be inside. police say when he went into the backyard he was attacked by another man. that's when the property manager shot the attacker. he was transported to the hospital where he died. neighbors say they noticed something going on at the house. 22.13.09.00 "i have seen those people over there. they have seen me. they have never been violent but i did see the bruises on his hand and did hear him say he had a fight with the man." police say the property manager was legally carrying the weapon and had injuries consistent with a fight. now to a 13 action news update on a valley man shot and killed walking home from work. police now have an idea of who might be responsible. police say heriberto diaz was shot saturday near lake mead and marion. he was coming home from his job at paris las vegas...when a group pulled up...robbed him and shot him in the chest. he was only steps away from his home. yesterday police say there's been a group of teenagers involved in robberies in that neighborhood.

five may be responsible for this murder. loved ones remembering a valley man shot and killed in his car in broad daylight. family and friends held a vigil last night. 23 year old christopher downie was found dead in a car tuesday near desert inn and polaris. people who knew him say he was a great kid who didn't deserve to die. 16:16:34:25 he was a good guy. he was calm. every time i needed help he helped me. butt to chris was a good guy. we just want justice. right now...police are searching for two suspects in downie's death. they say he was in his car when he was confronted by two men. no word on a motive. several members of the u-n-l-v men's basketball team returned home from boise state to find their apartment burglarized. the mother of stephen zimmerman tweeted this photo showing some of the things that were taken. one was zimmerman's mc- donald's high schol all-american ring. police are invstigating. up next...students in boulder city are sticking with tradition.

the clark country school district has decided to keep the civil war re-enactment for fifth graders. the district was looking at getting rid of the -30- year tradition. a spokesperson said it could be eliminated because of a changing state curriculum and all the planning that goes into it. however... after a strong push back from the community the district decided to go ahead with this years re- enactment. lyft is suing the city of las vegas over what they call an outrageously high tax on ride sharing companies. the tax would take effect next month--charging ride sharing companies 50-dollar per driver every six months. lyft says it asked the city to reconsider...but they refused so now they're suing. the ride sharing company says the tax violates a nevada state law that prohibits ride sharing companies from facing
