the police were called to the area at selby street and casada just after 11:00 for a home invasion laundry and at least one shot was fired and no injuries were reported but one suspect is in custody. the canine unit has been searching the neighborhood for another possible suspect and people in the area were ordered to stay inside with the doors and windows locked. we have a reporter on the way and he will bring us more information later in this newscast. the bombing at the hospital in thailand happened at a military owned the hospital in bangkok that is also open to civilians. this is the third anniversary of the military coup in thailand but authorities say it is too early to know whether that has a connection to the blast. they do not know who is behind

the attack. it is 4:02 am. no success near pittsburg in the water rescue search for a man that disappeared at the delta saturday while boating near the bear island. his son fell overboard and he jumped into rescue his son, and the boy was pulled out but his father has not been found to. there are other agencies the joined the search, and one lady said the currents in the delta can be strong where the rivers merge.>> i watch for the seek help, vegetation and water, and the sea lions and otters coming this way out toward the ocean. if you see the kelp on the water that means the current is there. >> the search was called off last night because it was too dark and the search teams have

not said whether they will be searching again today. investigating the stabbing of the university football player, the stabbing happened late saturday night or early sunday morning in downtown san jose after night out with friends. chad miller was reportedly stabbed more than once in the stomach and is that the santa clara valley medical center in intensive care. the school has released a statement, "we are aware of the incident in which the san jose state student and football player chad miller was a stabbing victim. he is hospitalized and expected to recover. our thoughts and prayers are with chad and his family for their prompt recovery. " the defense is expected to call the first witness of the penalty phase of the sierra lamar murder trial and prosecutors rocked up their case against antolin garcia- torres on thursday with very emotional testimony by the

parents of sierra lamar. the jury found garcia's torres guilty and attempted kidnapping of three other women. the jury will now have to decide whether to recommend a death penalty or life in prison. a man to back in court today for dismembering a body, and david stubblefield shot his neighbor back in march and prosecutors say he did cut up the body and tried to get rid of it with chemicals. he may have been angry about a dispute involving a space heater. during his last court hearing he pled not guilty to several charges including homicide, robbery and burglary, and he is being held on a $10 million bail. president trump is in israel on the second leg of his overseas trip as president, and president trump has said that

border patrol and immigration agents. there was a cold reception for vice president mike pence at the university of notre dame in indiana with some graduate student protesting. the vice president set to deliver the commencement address yesterday but as soon as he was introduced dozens of students and parents were silently standing up and walked out. the students say the protest was meant as a show of solidarity against the policies against the trump administration. the vice president did not acknowledge the walkout and continued with his speech. >> that is a pretty big deal to walk out of your graduation ceremony. it is 4:12 am. good morning. we are off to a decent start on northbound 101 on gilroy. northbound 101 driving from gilroy to morgan hill, let's say, and through the area is not a bad commute at all.

driving to san jose traffic is moving pretty well with no major problems on 17 or 85, or any of the freeways. now is your opportunity to get something done. 280 northbound looks okay. we are having some trouble with our camera. westbound bay bridge traffic is not bad up through to hwy 17, traffic moving pretty well. for the most part it is a nice early commute on this monday. let's bring stevie and. -- bring steve in. low clouds making a push over the bay, inland not going to matter much although we are picking up a slightly stronger breeze out to the delta. we will see if this holds, and if it does we could have cooler weather for some. san francisco buoy came way up

from 50 and now 55, bodega bay still cold. out it travis looking at cooler temperatures, and this is giving an effort to try to kick in the delta braze. 50s and 60s on the temperatures, inland well into the 60s but if not dealing with 50s in a few 40s. novato 50, napa 56, 36 in truckee, 51 in monterey, 63 in sacramento. the fog up and down most of the coast, this bridge will hold one more day and that system will work its way in from the south which will cool things down a little bit. today we are 60s to 90s, inland mid 90s for some, on the coast and bay 50s to 70s. that is the way it works out

westwind and northwest which is a little bit different the last week. 50s and 60s on the temperatures, a few 40s with santa rosa at 49, 57 by the concord pavilion. low clouds and fog on most of the coast with that ridge giving us one more nice day, warm day or hot day depending on how you look at it. cool on the coast in the 50s, 60s and 70s. right now we have a look at some of these commutes that are not that bad. the traffic is doing okay if you are driving on i-80 westbound through solano county from vacaville, fairfield or vallejo driving into the area to the carquinez bridge. there is construction slowdown eastbound i-80 approaching highway 30 seven but for the most part doing very well.

on 80 westbound, not a bad commute heading to the maccarthur maze. the bay bridge still is light. this is the time things change a little bit and we will keep you posted. it is 4:30 am. the house fire in antioch led to the discovery of a large marijuana grow operation. the fire began at 2 pm yesterday afternoon and cell phone video from the neighbor shows heavy smoke coming from the home, and take a look at that. firefighters say they knew it was a marijuana grow house right away with bars on the windows, doors barricaded, and the electrical meters were tampered with. after forcing their way into the home they found the marijuana plants in almost every room of the house. >> it is quite a bit, several rooms full. they essentially took a single family dwelling and turned it into a complete grow house. five or six
