good morning, everyone. let's go to solano county and talk about the commute on 80 westbound. traffic is moving along well from vallejo to hercules. no major problems if you are driving through. there is a roadwork but it's not causing a big delay. you may see it as you drive from hercules in tulsa brontk in richmond. no major problems driving into richmond. from vallejo to richmond it's a good commute. no problems this morning from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze when you get to the bay bridge toll plaza, the traffic is light. this morning, san francisco police are trying to get video that may help them determine what caused a speeding car to slam into an apartment building. this happened on taraval street at the corner of 24th and temporarily disrupted muni service. no one in the building was seriously hurt . ambe

driver. >> i saw it go by the window really fast. like a bullet. really fast. and then bam. >> reporter: this witness says it was around 315 when she found the car speeding by her bar. she estimates the driver was going about 50-60 miles per hour when it crashed into another vehicle going in the same direction. before plowing into a four unit apartment building steps from her business. >> i'm scared. i have a corner building. i'm just so happy it's not my building. it's so scary. >> reporter: police say the driver is a woman in her 70s and the passenger is her daughter in her 50s. fire crews executed the women from the carwere conscious and taken to the ital- threatening injuries. the property nelives in the building and was ng the >> we just had to evacuate to

today, a group of san francisco city employees will speak out about the alleged racism they say they face within city departments. the san francisco board of supervisors will hold a hearing this afternoon about the issue. part of the board held a hearing several months ago about alleged discrimination in the workplace. the service employees international union says it's not enough diversity in hiring. they will hold a news conference today before the board hearing. the man accused of killing 18-year-old neil wilson at an oakland bart station is due in court today. john lee cowell is due in court to have his plea hearing today. he is facing charges of murder and attempted murder after allegedly stabbing both wilson and her sister, as they were getting off the train at the macarthur bart station. the man was arrested at the pleasant hill bart station after police passenger. ntucky sheriff's

what's happening in the commute right now. everyone behaving? >> yes. for the most part. we look at things here. we don't see anything unusual but we do see slow traffic out there. we will go to the tracy commute where we do have a lot of slow traffic on 205 before you get to 580 and also on 580 as well. you can see the slow traffic here. it's going to be a tough commute until you make it over the altamont pass. nothing unusual about that. the one thing to watch out for the other way on eastbound 580, there is roadwork that has closed some lanes approaching the trace triangle. that will slow you down in that direction. let's take a look from livermore to dublin. it looks okay. no problems in oakland. both directions getting up to the bay bridge are okay. . there is not a big crowd yet. if you want to get on the road soon, you will beat it. let's bring stephen. >> didn't you notice the flags? >> they are moving.

going into the weekend you are looking at santa cruz with almost 3 inches of rain. that is at santa cruz. if they get 2.80, that will add more to that in the santa cruz mountains. the moisture will lift, it will cool and condense and they get more. the same could be said for the russian river and marin county. 2-3 almost for everyone over the next three systems. our system it's making its move on the mendocino coast we have a way to go before it gets here. maybe northern sonoma county will get on that in the next couple of hours. cloudy with patchy fog to the south. some areas in the 40s but temperatures are up due to cloud cover. 50 in the santa cruz and san jose statesystem. after this system drops south, it willpport and that could enhance some of those rainfall rates wednesday into thursday. maybe a 10th of an inch to an inch in the north for today's system coming into the golden gate around noon.
