morning with roughly 300 workers who walked off the job at tesla motors' battery manufacuturing plant in northern nevada monday -- they claim the company is hiring too many out of state employees tesla however, released a statement, saying they're in compliance with all state requirements. by law and by contract, they need to employ a minimum of 50 percent nevadans on site - and -- at last audit in december, 68 percent of construction workers were from nevada --- meaning, they actually exceeded the requirements. now no formal complaints have been filed with the state or the u.s. labor department just yet. if workers chose not to return to today - that would obviously affect production - and put a real damper on a event happening later this morning.. governor sandoval plans to host a ribbon cutting for an electric car charging station in beatty. the new "electric highway" consists of several ports between vegas and reno to help drivers complete their electric journey. officials are also hoping these charge stations

ever get to hear her voice again... that's the hard part lee was out on bond for another d-u-i charge last march. he's now facing up to 40 years behind bars. lee's sentencing is next month. a memorial service is set to happen for the late justice antonin scalia today. it will be held at the mayflower hotel in washington d-c. the 79 year old died last month of natural causes. his body was found in his room at a west texas ranch resort. many supreme court justices are expected to speak at the memorial service. meanwhile president obama is expected to meet with senate leaders who say they will block whoever he plans to nominate as the next supreme court justice. there's been a huge spat on capitol hill over who should fill the vacancy. republicans say the next president should choose the replacement... the democrats say it should happen as soon as possible.

space today. he's been at the international space station longer than than any other u-s astronaut. in his last briefing before heading home, kelly told reporters that he is feeling good. after he lands, he'll be flown to houston tomorrow to undergo a battery of physical and scientific tests. kelly and his twin brother mark are serving as test subjects, to study the affects of space travel on the human body. nasa is investing in a supersonic commercial jet. the space agency has granted a 20- million dollar contract to lockheed martin to develop a passenger jet that can fly faster than the speed of sound. nasa says the plan is intended to make flying safer, greener and quieter. the jet would use technology to create a soft thump instead of rattling sonic booms while in flight.

coincidence- leap year happens every 4 years and latoya welcomed her fourth boy. most leap day babies actually celebrate their birthdays on february 28th or march 1st. baby messiah arrived about a week early, just in time for the special day.
