in philadelphia this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> right now at 11:00 o'clock, a fiery crash in an "eyewitness news" exclusive a driver describes how his car crashed into a home and set off raging blaze. >> watching weather. snow, sleet and rain all headed our way. we're tracking this and what it means for your day tomorrow. >> and stepping down. decades old allegations of sexual assault finally lead bill cosby to stay away from his beloved temple university and that is where we begin tonight. good evening, i'm chris may. i'm jessica dean. >> bill cosby was so committed to his alma mater that he became a fixture there. routinely speaking at graduation ceremonies. but tonight all of that has changed. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live at temple university with reaction to his resignation from the board of trustees. todd? >> reporter: jessica, the wage of the mounting fire storm apparently was just too much as

just last week the university of massachusetts cut ties with cosby had was the co chair of its fundraising campaign. cosby received maste masters and doctoral degrees from u mass and was a major donor in the past. >> breaking news at 11:00 o'clock. camden county police are searching for this missing boy tonight. 10-year-old nazir william. he is from camden's parkside neighborhood. he went missing today from his home on ormond street. he was last seen wearing a blue uniform sweater, tan pants and black sneakers he was also carrying a blue and green book bag. if you have any information on his whereabouts tonight, you're asked to contact employees. the clouds and showers are moving out. rain, snow, and sleet are taking their place. meteorologist kathy orr is tracking the all outside on the cbs-3 sky deck. kathy? >> chris, you know what today is. today is the start of the meteorological winter. today's high temperature 65. so it didn't feel like the but

by tomorrow it will. take a look at storm scan3. the temperatures are falling and we are seeing a little bit of i would say wet snowflakes or flurries mixing in there especially through the lehigh valley otherwise just main al few sprinkles to the north and west of the city and to the south and to the east. not a lot of precip tag out there just yet. cold front is moving through. it will move northward through the region again tomorrow. when the temperatures are cold and that is why we'll see a wintry mix before change over to rain. right now in philadelphia, 43. 38 in allentown. 39 in reading and only 30 degrees in the poconos. to the south and east it is warmer but look at the cold that is coming. columbus 29. st. louis 28. so a lot of cold air that will move toward the delaware valley. we'll watch this area of low pressure move back northward as warm front tomorrow bringing that precipitation before a change over to some warmer raindrops. here's a look were to expect. tomorrow some snow and sleet in the poconos. snow to rain in the lehigh valley anding treatment northern

in critical condition with head and up term injuries and police are looking for the driver of a volvo stationwagon who fled the scene. >> we are hearing exclusively tonight from the man who accidentally drove his car into his own townhome in delaware. that crash triggered big fire and did a lot of damage. the driver was cited late tonight but told our david spunt it was the result of a simple mistake. >> reporter: crews have been out here since 1:00 o'clock this afternoon. they're not going anywhere any time toon soon. it is a very active scene out here. people lost their and tire homes in just minutes. i spoke to one man who says 30 years of memories were gone just like that. the video tells a terrifying story. and now the man who says he accidentally started it all told "eyewitness news" he's sorry about what happened and he's lucky that be a live. >> we lost everything. it's all gone. >> reporter: the man still had ashes on his hands as he told us

he intended that back the car up to go shopping. but instead he drove forward. >> the car hit the gas, gas meter and exploded report roar the fire quickly spread next door. that's where brian archie's family lives. >> hopefully we're able to salvage some of the stuff in the house but that's a lot of tough gone. >> reporter: crews were still cleaning up late into the evening. police say another neighbor suffered minor spoke inhalation and will be okay. >> we live here more than their years. all good memories. >> reporter: says losing everything he owns is painful enough. but to know others lost their homes hurts him even more. >> it's very sad but luckily nobody is injured. everybody is safe. me and my wife and all the neighbors. >> reporter: the delaware state fire marshal estimates the damage to be at about $300,000. the red cross putting up people in hotels. the fire is being ruled as accidental.

reporting from new castle county, delaware, david spunt cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> from the streets of ferguson to the streets of philadelphia, demonstrators angered by the shooting death of michael brown were back out in force today. the weekend resignation of the police officer who shot brown darren wilson not affecting their plans. emery main angry that a grand jury declined to indict wilson in the shooting which set off racially charged violence in missouri. this is a birds eye view of protesters in new york city. >> well the unrest in ferguson has the attention of the white house. today the president gathered prominent figures from the civil rights and law enforcement communities to talk about solutions. two prominent philadelphians were there and one was tapped to co chair a presidential task force that carries big responsibility. >> it's really quite an honor to be selected as chair of the task force i accept it.

leads. in the meantime, new details are emerging about montgomery's disappearance early thanksgiving morning. the frantic search for him continues, "eyewitness news" learned tonight the reward in this case could grow. police searched from the sky late into the afternoon on day five of the search for shane montgomery who disappeared early thanksgiving morning after last being seen at a manayunk bar. >> what we really need is someone to give us a tip so that we can start heading in the direction that will lead to us shaken. >> reporter: in roxborough shane's aunt maryann organized by 100 volunteers to post fresh pictures of shane. management at kildare's irish pub clarified details from the night the college student disappeared. >> shane's family and friends have stated shane was not inn tock indicated when he left the restaurant. our investigation is consistent with those statements. >> it was originally reported

>> on storm scan3 we have some showers moving throughout side our studios and even across the river at campbell if he not much going on right now. just cloudy skies. we're catching a break from the rain but it's not that far away. you can see it to the north and west of philadelphia. and actually some colder air working its way in through the lehigh valley but still mainly rain there. on the wider scope we have a cold front moving through and associated with this obviously colder air to the north and west and that is where we do expect a little bit of a wintry mix before a change over to rain during the day tomorrow. let's start with the temperatures. the poconos it's 30. allentown 38. readinreading 39 and philadelph. temperatures to the south and east warm as well. we'll warm up to 43 degrees tomorrow. we'll watch this front return as a warm front but we'll have cold air in place. so this warm air rides up and over that cold air at the surface so a little bit of a mick to start then it changes over to rain. wednesday, drying out temperatures in the 50s. cold again thursday.

but at least we see the sun. this will be the driest day of the work week. here's a look at future weather early tomorrow morning clouds, perhaps few sprinkles or flurries. we'll see a little impulse here and you can see some rain moving in through dover, millville, possibly mixing in with wet snow and then the radar raully phils in over the course of the day. some wintry mix through the poconos and lehigh valley for philadelphia we see mainly rain. some levee rain toward the evening and warmer air is made it into the poconos by tomorrow night and it's long gone by early wednesday morning. as far as snow is concerned, perhaps a grassy coating through the lehigh valley and poconos just about it. overnight tonight looking at temperatures falling into the mid 30s with a few showers in philadelphia. during the day tomorrow chilly rain. a mixed rain to the north. on the exclusive "eyewitness weather" seven day forecast. wednesday 52. thursday dry. friday, saturday even sunday still a chance of showers. but at least it's seasonal. monday 52 degrees. drying out a bit with some
