Our Labor Day 2005 episode features a half hour special produced by our friends at WIN looking back on events in the labor movement over the past year. (PLEASE EXCUSE MY REFERENCE TO AN INTERVIEW WITH HOWARD ZINN IN THIS PROGRAM--THE INTERVIEW IS ACTUALLY WITH ZINN'S CO-EDITOR ANTHONY ARNOVE). We also have a report on the struggle of Boilermakers Local 484 against Celanese Corp. in Meredosia Illinois where local police in the pay of the company terrorize union members. Despite this the community remains united in their support of the union. I also make some comments on the social dimensions of Hurricane Katrina.
