On today’s episode of Labor Express Radio, we will hear from participants in an historic action by retail and food service workers in downtown Chicago. The recently formed Workers Organizing Committee of Chicago held a one day strike and march through downtown in which hundreds of low wage workers participated. It is part of their campaign called “Fight for 15.” The goal - to establish a $15 an hour minimum wage for retail and food service workers in Chicago.
We will also hear more on the continued fight back against school closings in Chicago.
