Murphys Irish Day is one of those events. It has become a much anticipated annual event in the Mother Lode by those who live here and those who are visiting - who can resist green beer and an opportunity to buy a raffle ticket and win a trip to Ireland?
Each year on the third Saturday in March, thousands of people from Northern California and come to Murphys to honor its Celtic heritage and celebrate as only the Irish can. The town's Main Street is filled with booths offering handcrafted items, original art, photographs, delicious food, wine, and other beverages.
