Nightfall only ran for a couple years over the CBC in the early 1980s, but thanks to its mix of sharp storytelling, strong acting and disturbing sound effects, this horror anthology continues to be a favorite among fans of the medium. Only problem? Most of the available shows have pretty poor sound quality, and thanks to legal issues with the CBC, it's unlikely we'll be getting an official release anytime soon.
But in the mid-1990s, Durkin-Hayes released a handful of Nightfall cassettes. I've digitized and cleaned them up as much as possible here. While the quality still isn't perfect (there's peak clipping on a number of cassettes that wouldn't go away, no matter what I tried) they're certainly sharper and more full than most of the other episodes I've found online.
If you happen to know where to find even better versions of these fantastic episodes, I'd love to know!
