View of the Whistlers at Jasper Park. A mountain of twin peaks situated just above the junction of the Athabasca and Miette River. Here a series of loud, almost human - like whistles are heard. These come from the family of marmots, a short tailed burrowing rodent, which because of its shrill whistle is known locally as the Whistler, hence the name of the mountain.
