On May 15th, 2016, English composer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield turned 63. Jason "Jake" Longwell, was given the opportunity to host a special four hour birthday celecration of Mike and of his music, on the weekly radio show Pemberton's Basement, originating at WQNA, 88.3 the Edge, in Springfield, Illinois. This special was also rebroadcast on several other small community and internet radio stations across the US in the followintg days. From Tubular Bells to his most recent recording, Man on the ROcks, Jake explores as much of Mike Oldfield's diverse music as possible.
