I remain unconvinced that the use of force proposed here will work. All of us are outraged at Assad's conduct and he rightly should be subject to condemnation worldwide. But an attack? I think a military attack is a mistake. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio had a chance to stand for fighting against Assad and ISIS and both backed away because it wasn't popular at the time. We need someone with a steady hand with proven leadership skills and the ability to go to congress to get an authorization to use military force to rid this from the face of the Earth.
