Psych Pshow
by Charles Rice Goff III
1 Psych Pshow
2 Assembly Required
3 Subjective Matter
4 Neusicular Frejamme
5 Blooming McBuds In Natural Light
6 Spellbound
7 Rail To Rail
8 Exchanging Consciousnesses
9 Jollification & Memorialization
The nine videos presented here were produced by Charles Rice Goff III between 2010 and 2012. They were compiled together for a DVDR, released by Taped Rugs Productions in March of 2012.
Some Specifics:
1 "Psych Pshow," "Assembly Required," "Blooming McBuds In Natural Light," "Rail To Rail," and "Jollification & Memorialization" all feature video and photography that Goff shot in and around Kansas City (Kansas and Missouri, USA). Goff used a number of video effects to give each of these presentations its own organic appearance. Goff also produced unique soundtracks for each of these videos. The cinematic results conjure themes that linger somewhere between reality and other locations.
2 "Neusicular Frejamme" features colorful original animation and an original soundtrack, could be considered psychedelic, and may disorient viewers.
3 "Spellbound" and "Subjective Matter" were each born as contributions to Justynn Tyme's Dadaist "Dali Krab Day" events (in 2010 and 2011 respectively). Both of these feature acquired film bits, edited and effected by Goff into unique presentations. The soundtrack for "Subjective Matter" was recorded by Goff and Michael LaGrega in 2010, and never previously has been released to the public. Goff alone recorded the original soundtrack for "Spellbound."
4 "Exchanging Consciousnesses" features original photography and video, as well as acquired photographs, all edited and effected by Goff into a presentation which bypasses logic altogether and, instead, dives directly into a pool of kaleidoscopic gestalt. The unique Goff soundtrack deepens this pool somewhat.
