6:34 am

6:35 am
restaurants you can find a job a waitress in babysit for monsoon work. maybe storekeeper you know at the grocery store or at the ice cream places. some volunteer work at the museum but basically that's all the work related on the air. some people like to play them selves but that this is normal competitive they mean they get on with your parents you also fair with a room and. living by yourself can sometimes not be good it's become and i say we don't want that to have a good time we want to have a good experience your first apartment this is very real you may live there more
6:36 am
what a little slower. our island has limited occupations on it so therefore a lot of these children have interests with things that are not available on the island and therefore when they go off and get their college or training they will have to go to other areas to get into. a few of them may end up back on the island because of having a health center here or school here but other than that they are not going to be finding a job on the island they may come back and retire but they're not going to be working here when they're right out of college or trade. for. such a place and yet i'm damned if i can that's what i think she writes here you can see things in your life. and see.
6:37 am
what. there is for the. and all of you. just. i sailed into tangier on
6:38 am
a fifty foot sailboat and david came alongside and it was very friendly and we invited him to supper and he came back with this guitar and sang all night the belly of the boat and i was so overwhelmed his voice his beauty his char. and i fell in love and when he left that night i said to the guys i was sailing with there. there goes the man i'm going to marry. now. now. away. for a piece of glass. for much time so. i
6:39 am
. was. told this. that's a pretty one. but it's sharp or oh it just that's a kind of went down between two pieces of wood and then they they wrote it tight. and used it for spears. and for bone marrow. but when there's a lot of history and the arrowheads. we're not sure when we were settled but we were discovered sixteen away and we had our four hundred anniversary in two thousand and eight and that was a big deal on the island so that was really special but indians were here thousands of years before we all were.
6:40 am
i don't find places like that very often. they just don't exist anymore you don't have these pristine beaches where you can just. watch and learn from from what you see. it would be a real shame for this island to disappear there's a way of life here that's unique to. this country the the crabbers the oystermen and so forth it's a very hard life and yet we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor but it's also special to me because there aren't very many places left where you can see the
6:41 am
diversity of wildlife where the wildlife has a place to stop birds come through here from south america heading up the bay heading towards their nesting grounds and a lot of them stop over here it's important for the survival of various species and we're losing more and more of this type of habitat part of it is sea level rise part of it is just a natural changes to it storms and so forth that just happens. but it would be a shame to see those totally wiped out. every time there's a hurricane at this place is always a risk it's slides they try to evacuate people lots of times people won't go because they want to stay with their houses but the bottom line is that creates problems coastguard and whatever has to worry about the island of the people who are living here and they would rather them leave the island shrinking every year
6:42 am
because the government money they've got to worry about the people being here so they feel that really the people should leave and little to mainland. escalation agenda u.s. president barack obama has ordered the pentagon to double be a task force and expand the target list as part of his assumed assault on syria it was spec of international opinion polls at home the us on its own is poised to carry out force to gene change in damascus well at least that's the plan. we speak your language. news programs and documentaries in spanish matters to you breaking news a little too in the. stories. you hear.
6:43 am
in troy spanish more and more visit. all tito it's. made it with economic ups and downs in the find out months day that the deal sank i and the rest until you meet him. everything. live right in the same place. searched for. the night briefing picture. on our reporters twitter. and instagram.

six. the lie a lie a lie out all of us lying at all and out all the way to bacon almost today bacon out here all of us eroded away and they are poor what if there are why if they didn't start just getting.
6:45 am
here from the audience. ready to leave it would be one two three. and forty two feet no utility says it didn't he couldn't pull june to meet for heat little blue. for. if the day is especially things involving children tend to draw people live. such a close knit community you high. you know it's a rare feeling to have a family dad has a mother and father and mandate of both sets of grandparents and sometimes great
6:46 am
grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins and i mean all living right in the same community so my child may be taking part in doing something here a disadvantage day but my mother and father will come to my wife's mother and father would scream father make my wife's sister who is much make so. the summer season. panama and she's been hanging around for a couple years now we're down to for the winter telamon in summer golf and back here. i'll feed her in a little bit. interests are.
6:47 am
a good problem. might. feel consumption a quart of fuel on board not good. when you've been you're about to keep minutes every day make a pretty good. chance perhaps see if they had a few other houses they usually keep some talk themselves you know to get some. folks on. we look out for each other we get competitive some calls with the kids that somebody is in trouble deal with goes pull together come together and help. everybody. sort of like off like a big family. thank you. do you feel they have. james and screech is the mayor
6:48 am
a. bit even though he's his name is james eskridge he is known even in the newspapers as. when james was a very small boy apparently they had a rooster and he couldn't say verster but he could say. and that's where that nickname came in has stuck with him his entire life even the newspapers call him for eskridge one of the benefits here live and don't have to try to get oh oh. while everything has learned a war on the war and i believe this will help me in life on the tug being i'll be working on the worst day oh. i was lloyd. just not enough money in it and i figured times worse next best thing is to win the war. the government's trying you don't
6:49 am
want to because the government signed we are killing our crime it's not really stood still rock this population gets to put the wrong women on and now the third most don't have populated fish around and they kill or cry if it's not we just get the blame for. staying here rest of my life because i love it here it's noise you know everybody is a nice place to live. you. know you're so sweet. i love your. show you. i. f i f f f.
6:50 am
f f f . serious course for concern where young people link the island because we're aware that that's what's going to happen in the population so it's come on the side because we know that if we don't have people staying here then the way obliges can somehow dissipate you can.
6:51 am
cut it down. so you believe we have a part of it that is more protected so what have you done to make sure that our current is protected in the future or what have you done to ensure that we will get us the wall right each of you have written letters that's right you have written to our president you've written to our governor you've written to our state and local and national officials as well and that of course is one of the greatest forms of patriotism not only is patriotism love for your nation or love for your state but
6:52 am
patriotism is also for your small island tangier. the seawall that we're looking to get in the future in the next few years is going to be just across from this one this is the west entrance and you're arbor. but it's such a great set such a wall and open in your eye when we get storms and wind from the west from northwest swells or waves roll right into the harbor so we're actually trying to. make it a smaller opening here so it'll protect. right and he's in boats and oliver as you come in to the harbor here you can see over to your way off. off all the six sort of crab shanties that storms have destroyed because there's no protection here. there's just a graveyard. this is. my mom and dad over error that's my brother in law are all. croc good friends and plus cows and.
6:53 am
horses boat and major murray. and they always want a crab. but. when i asked. some opposition i want to be buried here she said yeah. we're away from the end but i tolerate she better bar i mean a. lot of if i mean to say i told her i'm a twist entirely and i want to horror every other night. so we're worth a place that used to be used to be up for the small community was actually it was another community called a cheese i hear in this direction which it's completely out in the water now. purges over here and yes now for more of the small mobile home is there was a lot to please out here and several homes in
6:54 am
a small schoolhouse and. it was a thraldom community of one talent. right here or somebody had stones from the graves it were here and one of the graveyards you can sit in here. this is a true it's. one of the seams from cain's year. and there were numerous graves here and there was also another brick. yard with went into the water a couple years ago. so when they were burying these folks they were well inland and on very all the ground and now there are god into war. and that's that's what we don't want happen to taint your all and we want to get some protection and make sure that we don't go into the chesapeake bay like uppers did
6:55 am
in other communities. watch and. see. and. say. yes my. role in. our.
6:56 am
my. my. chances. yes. jansha.
6:57 am
