The VersaWriter Tablet and drawing software didn't just work on the Atari, but was also available for the Commodore 64, IBM PC, and Apple II series. It was leading edge technology at the time
The KoalaPad was the first real competition at the time, but did not have the same precision or drawing surface.
In 1984 a port to the Apple Lisa was started, but never completed.
