south on 97, 57 miles per hour down towards 100. so far so good on 50 to and from the bay bridge. this is dulaney valley. we are late in terms of volume. this is the j.f.x. as you approach northern parkway. this is southbound traffic and it looks great into town. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> we are following breaking news. a trooper rushed to shock trauma after he crashed his cruiser overnight. >> jennifer franciotti is live this morning. >> this is a wild story. this happened around 12:30 this morning. the trooper was driving along southbound 152 in harford county in an unmarked trooper vehicle
when somebody was driving too closely behind him. the trooper moved over. he was going to pull him over for a traffic violation when the guy took off. the trooper pursued this person. they change directions on route 152. that is when the cruiser was rammed. the trooper went into a split rail fence. the fence when through the windshield. the trooper was taken to shock trauma for treatment. the suspect took off. the suspect was spotted. another pursuit ensued. the suspect crashed his the vehicle on cinder rosinger road.

sandusky -- the alleged victims names will be delivered to the attorney of the former penn state assistant coach. he faces more than 50 counts of child sex abuse. in washington, two committees will hold a hearing on accountability at arlington national cemetery. at least 400,000 individuals are there.red there were reports of misplaced remains. >> madonna is getting ready to perform the halftime at the super bowl on sunday. she says she has had more than 25 years of experience in performing in front of big audiences but she has never been more nervous about a show.

greenspring. very light so far. 95 heading southbound at 152 down from mountain road is problem free all the way down to the fort mchenry. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> we are following breaking news out of harford county. a state trooper was injured overnight. >> he was taken to shock trauma. a pretty dramatic chain of events. >> his reactions were lightning quick or he got saved by the radar on his dashboard. he was driving around 12:30 when somebody was driving behind him flashing his high beams. the trooper moved over and the guy took office. the trooper did follow and pursue and they changed
directions. the suspect ran at the patrol cruiser and at some point the trooper went into it split rail fence. part of the fence went into the windshield, narrowly missing his head. we do know suspect continued to take off. a sheriff's deputy was monitoring the commotion on the radio and was able to spot the suspect and pursued them where the suspect crashed. the suspect was not injured in that accident. he is facing a variety of charges including first-degree assault. the trooper was treated and released from shock trauma. he does have some cuts and bruises but he is expected to be ok. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. four men are behind bars this
morning. tyrone brown, frank williams, jermell brandon, and william ward all face first-degree murder charges in the death of rodney pridget. they plotted to kill them after they saw them at the mall. police believe brown was the trigger man. >> they have to evaluate the footage and put it together like the pieces of a puzzle and do the regular detective work that it takes to corroborate evidence like this. >> it is not clear what the suspects targeted rodney pridget. police are on the lookout accused of a kidnapping at towson. this happened last week near washington avenue. a man was walking to score when it was approached by two men. >> they forced him into his car
and asked them to drive to an automatic teller machine. was to about $300 -- he withdrew about $300. >> it is scary. >> the victim was not hurt. if you have any information, call metro crime stoppers at 1- 866-7-lockup. >> police say this man attacked and robbed another man, then he fled on foot. if you know this man, please call mta police. surveillance video of a beating.
a man named ricky thomas. a pair police officers enter the frame. appears to point thomas in the face. an officer has been identified as donyell briggs. the officer at first try to pull thomas over for a bad break light. this is now a criminal investigation. >> jury deliberations will continue in the lee stephens case after the weekend. he's accused of killing a corrections officer. prosecutors say the officer was cornered and was stabbed to death. >> the way police communicate has changed. certain codes are familiar but
have been replaced with a simpler common language system. this is an effort to improve communication. >> it is to have every agency on the same page service common language can be used that any agency would understand what is being said. >> officials hope all jurisdictions will adopt the new language. >> major hurdle to develop when the power off the coast of ocean city. a federal review found no significant environmental problems with putting wind turbines 10 miles off the eastern shore. state now can begin soliciting leases. >> we know which areas the government is now fast tracking forward to offer for leases, for development. that is a big deal.
