beltway. harbor tunnel, 895 running smoothly. looking good at the fort mchenry. southbound traffic is starting to build ever so slightly. running without delay on all the major roadways. 55 on the b-w parkway as you make your way south. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the road to new orleans is still open for the ravens. the team will fly to denver later today where they will play the broncos on saturday. pete gilbert has more on the mood in the mile high city. >> we have made our way here to denver.
the town is live up in orange. this tower is lit up in orange. i think i've seen two jerseys so far. it is not like what we see in baltimore. the broncos have won 13 games and they have a home field advantage. peyton manning has never won a playoff game with the temperature was under 40 degrees. i spoke with some ravens fans coming over on the plane. they are getting ready for the festivities. we will have live coverage beginning at 5:00 to get you ready for the ravens and the broncos on tv 11. i'm pete gilbert. we will send it back to you.

a student opens fire inside a seven california high school. police say they suspect is in custody and is believed to be a student. and injured student has non- life-threatening injuries. an arraignment is scheduled for later this morning in the case of the colorado movie theater shootings. a judge ruled there was probable cause that he was responsible for the shooting that killed 12 people and injured 70 others. james holmes will have to enter a plea. >> president obama will host hamid karzai at the white house today. there was a dinner last night with secretary of state hillary clinton. they will discuss the continuing transition out of afghanistan. >> 5:09.

the mountains. milder air in the eastern third of the country. it warm front is coming in. that will help to produce some shower activity later this afternoon or this evening. we will be watching the second system out to the west. eather is sittinge out here. it is beginning to dive into the western part of the u.s. that will keep things very cold out in denver. some shower chances by this afternoon. a southeast wind of 5 to 10 miles per hour. the clouds will be thickening up. rain chances moving through the area. not a lot of rain.

activity to the south. the rain activity is skewed to the afternoon. bring an umbrella. let's take a look at some of the temperatures. generally above freezing in almost all cases. parkton is close at 32. 37 in parkville. 36 in rock hall. 33 degrees in jarrettsville. a couple of readings down near freezing. the sprinkles down in virginia. the more significant rains are out to the west. we have an area of high pressure that has been keeping us dry. this disturbance is heading towards the great lakes. that warmer air is trying to
push into the colder air. most of the rain will be at the great lakes. temperatures are prominent right now. in the teens for highs for the game on saturday. rain shower chances kick in by afternoon and evening. southeast winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. not a very strong wind on the bay. bay water temperatures are generally in the 40's. the clouds are beginning to thicken up. we will have more of an easterly wind going into the weekend. that should hold some clouds in
the area. close to 60 this time of year is not bad and sunday we will probably be in the 60's. the weekend looks generally dry. another disturbance by monday. the rain chances will be increasing on monday. temperatures close to 50 today. near 60 on saturday. sunday minimal rain chances. i think most of sunday will be fine. increased rain chances on monday and tuesday. 30's for highs by next week. >> the oscar nominations were announced on thursday. the golden globes are on sunday.
