combined lower-extremity injuries. >> the fbi is leading the investigation. evidence-collection teams have been brought in from new york. >> we'll find out who did this and why they did this. or responsible groups individuals will feel the full weight of justice. whopolice questioned a man tha was being treated in a boston hospital. he is not considered a suspect or a person of interest. police were seen bringing out evidence bags. it did not appear they made any arrests. that is the story here in boston. now back to you. nowolice agencies are heightening their security, including right here in
baltimore. team coverager with kim dacey. what is being done to keep fans safe? the orioles start a nine-game homestand tonight. fans can expect extra security after the explosions in boston. the game will be baltimore's biggest public gathering following the boston marathon. some security measures will be obvious but some will be going on behind the scenes. 11 news has learned local police departments and state police are cooperating to evaluate other events taking place. there have been no specific threats to the area. police commissioner anthony batts elevated the security awareness in the city. you'll notice more men and women in uniform. >> we will see, as the squad officers in full gear will be in
swat gear with automatic weapons. they will be working closely with the mta police. they will check suspicious activity. check the trash cans and perimeters. you'll see the bomb dogs. we're checking the rail lines and all the infrastructure throughout the city. canceled tops were washington, d.c. the police commissioner said folks should go about their day as normal. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. friends, it was a tense few hours waiting to hear from their loved ones. i had chills up and down my arms. >> many of baltimore running
