3.25 inches. and further points east lesser amounts 2 1/2 to 3 inches there. a variety of snow fall totals, but generally the 3-5-inch range we can say. the temperatures not helpful in that the temperatures are dropped below freezing in some spots. in baltimore 31 degrees as megan was saying causing it to freeze over in some spots. be careful about that. up in hagerstown 30 degrees and in oakland 28 degrees there. as far as what is next, that is what jessica was alluding to. this system moves off to the east. the frontal boundary pushing it further in that direction. high pressure builds in. that brings us a nice night with clear skies. a nice day tomorrow with plenty of sunshine, but there, remember this one. this low pressure center is coming our way and maybe bringing us significant snow fall for friday night into your saturday. this one could resemble very much like the december 19th storm with the blizzard of '09. one scenario takes it out to sea
which would not bring us as much snow. the other one brings it up the coast. when we get that nor'easter coming up the coast, we get the whole snow in the north atlantic region and the heavy snow could bring us potentially a foot to a foot 1/2, meaning 12 to 18 inches, do the math. you can see a lot of moisture coming our way and with the cold air in place, that is why we think we could see a significant event for friday night into your saturday, especially. for today the rest of the day we start to clear out. turning partly cloudy later. central part of the state climbing to 39 degrees, with mostly cloudy skies turning partly cloudy in afternoon and then for the western part of the state, about 39 as well. higher elevations cooler, but mostly cloudy skies and don't be surprised a snow hour with the help of the mountains could be in play for the afternoon. clear skies with a northwest wind at 5-10 miles per hour. we get to the 39 today by seeing the temperatures climb to about, well, 35 degrees by noon and
partly cloudy skies then. clearing out by 6:00 p.m., 35 degrees then, after hitting the high of 39 at around 1 or 2:00 this afternoon and maybe even as late as 3. tomorrow 45 degrees for the high. a lot of sunshine, we rest up and we get ready and then we all get our loaves of bread at the store. 37 degrees on friday with the snow coming on the way. it could be heavy, 12 to 18 inches is not impossible if it comes up the coast as we think it can. most helmostly cloudy. and on tuesday maybe round 3. sky watch weather is at your finger tips. you can track these stores by going to foxbaltimore.com. you can use fox 45 powerful doppler to track incoming storms. the interactive tools will let you know when the rain or snow will be over your house. go to we foxbaltimore.com and ck oirki radar. >> reporter: it's a mixed storm that the wintery mess has

for friday night into saturday. the low pressure center could actually move off to the north and east and move out to sea in which case we would not be as concerned. it could bring a little he snow still but not as much. other concern is that the low pressure center comes up the coast. you have been through this before. we get the nor'easter in our direction. the result is heavy snow from new england and down through the mimid-atlantic where we are. we see as a result a foot to 18 inches of snow possible for friday night into saturday especially for your saturday. here is what we're looking at a lot of moisture coming up. we say that the gulf is open for business when the low pressure center is off to the west and we have no blocking of moisture up from the gulf. the result is a possibility of heavy snow. what we're looking for today. drier conditions for the noon. mostly cloudy skies, north west at 5-10 or 15 miles per hour.
back through the central part of the state, 45 degrees for the high. and a 10-15-mile-an-hour wind. a couple up slope showers there, but roadways cloudy and 35 degrees for the high temperature. 26 degrees clear skies tonight. a pretty night and a very pretty day tomorrow. but before we get tomorrow, today we will see the temperatures climb to 35 degrees by noon. getting to the 39 by 1 or 2:00 this afternoon and backing off to 35 degrees by 6:00 p.m. as the skies continue to clear. 45 degrees for the high. rest up, relax, get ready because here comes the next snow. 35 degrees for the high on saturday. the snow overnight friday into saturday that could be significant as i said. the skies clear how the and the clouds return with it and the possibility of round 3 on tuesday with a high of 35 degrees. that means more snow, guys. fox 45 sky watch weather is at available at your finger tips.
