we're following breaking news out of trenton where police are investigating a triple shooting. we are live on the scene at robling avenue and washington street. all three victims are men, two shot in the back. there are no arrests or motives right now. also happening right now, potentially deadly bacteria has a local college campus on alert. we take you live to wf wft as t -- west chester university as the semester starts with a legionnaires scare.

to drop to the 50s in pottstown. the 60s in philadelphia, a quick warmup, 69 degrees at 7:00, yes, 79 degrees by 10:00. as we go into afternoon. we start to see the clouds building, 85 at 1:00 and storms possible later today. your neighborhood by neighborhood forecast when i come back in ten minutes. right now, let's see what's happening on the roads. jessica boyington has first alert traffic. >> we're watching the blue route still. we're approaching an accident scene, blaocking out the left ad center lanes. southbound obviously moving through nicely. this is approaching the scene right here. delay with only one lane getting through the area. there's also an accident scene on 422 eastbound around 202, the off ramp is partially blocked with an accident. that's pushed over into the left-hand shoulder. in the a huge deal there. new jersey transit and patco are doing fine, no problems for

d.a.r.t. as well. septa, they are shuttle busing passengers between woodbourne and west trenton this morning. we'll do a check on the blip anç that accident scene coming up in the next ten. chris? 5:33 now. 13,000 students will start classes at west chester university today with a health scare hanging over there. >> a legionnaires scare on campus has forced officials to shut off water to several buildings. nbc 10's matt delucia is live on campus. what is the school doing? >> reporter: well, tracy and chris, the school has been working throughout the weekend to fix this problem. and to really try to figure out a long-term solution. they really just want to make sure that every building is safe for the students as they begin classes today. there are ten buildings that tested positive for legionella

bacteria. main hall is one of those buildings. westchester university says it began treating the hot water units this weekend. that meant turning the water off and super chlorinating the systems to kill the bacteria. this can be a deadly form of bacteria. inhaling it can cause a severe form of pneumonia known as legionnaires disease. how this happened, the university says it's looking into that long-term solution. an employee tested positive for bacteria. so the workers started testing the cooling towers. it prompted workers to wonder if other buildings -- the last update provide by the university was on friday. students are on campus now. there was no preneed to curtail activity.

students and parents now, the first day of classes. we expect an update hopefully later on today. we're live in westchester, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. something else we're keeping an eye on today. pennsylvania's attorney general will face a judge from a side of the courtroom she normally doesn't stand on. >> kathleen kane is charged with leaking grand jury information and then lying about it. katy zakhsy is live in norristown. what can we expect today in court? >> pennsylvania's top prosecuto defendant's table. the preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this afternoon inside the montgomery county courthouse. kathleen kane has refused to resign saying she did nothing wrong. she was recently charged with leaking grand jury information to a philadelphia newspaper. prosecutors say the attorney general did so in an attempt to embarrass two former staffers who kane thought released information critical of her.

>> i am innocent of any wrongdoing. my defense will not be that i am the victim of an old boy's network or otherwise. my defense will be that i broke no laws of this commonwealth, period. >> this all stems from kane's review of her predecessor's handling of the jerry sandusky child sex abuse case. kane says she uncovered during that time she uncovered e-mails from judges and prosecutors that included pornography, bigotry and racial insensitivity. kane says her rivals manufactured the current charges against her to get her out of office and also to make sure that those incriminating e-mails did not surface. reporting live in norristown this morning, katy zachry, nbc 10 news. it's 5:36. breaking news from overnight, stocks fell in trading on the asian market as investors responded to the shake-up on wall street last week. tokyo stocks tumbled overnight.

5:45. police are investigating a triple shooting in trenton. nbc 10 on the scene at robling and washington. all three victims are men, police tell us. two of them were shot in the back. nbc 10 will stay on the scene and work to get you new details. happening today, a judge formally imposes a life sentence on james holmes. holmes killed 12 people and injured dozens more when he opened fire on a crowded that's righter in aurora in 2012. all their victims and families

will have a chance to address holmes over the next three days. investigators tracked down and arrested the two iowa men after their threats surfaced online. officersç found a small shotgu an ar-15, hundreds of rounds of ammo and a hunting knife in their car. investigators say the threat does not appear to have any connection with any extremist groups but the motive still remains a mystery. officials blame rising tuition at rutgers university on hackers, at least in part. last year the school was hacked at least four times. rutgers hired three cyber security firms to make sure that doesn't happen again. school officials say the $3 million security investment is part of the reason tuition was raised this year. 5:46. preparing for the pope. while a lot of families are getting excited about the pope's visit, one family in delaware county not just excited but busy

wrightstown. was down to quarter mile visibility, now three-quarter mile visibility. improving in toms river and atlantic city. we'll see the fog disappear as the sunshine warms things up. later in the day, we'll be watching for showers, a few isolated showers, not much to them in western pennsylvania. by the time the temperatures heat up in the philadelphia area today, during the afternoon hours, that's when that line is expected to move in. we'll likely see late-day showers. not this morning. should be fairly quiet, just a few scattered clouds at 1:00. look at the line coming in from looks much more impressive at 5:00 this afternoon and by 6:00, 7:00, philadelphia will be flirting with the showers. there's a good possibility they'll stay north and west. kind of fizzling as they move intoed philadelphia. afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s.

carter is now coming back to haunt him. hall of fame wide receiver cris carter has been a regular speaker at the nfl rookie symposium. he talks to first-year players about the risks and rewards about playing in the nfl. that was from last year's speech on giving advice on how to get out of trouble. >> if you have a crew, you've got to have a fall guy in the crew. i let my home boys know, y'all want to keep rolling like this, i need to know who gonna be the fall guy, who gone nab driving you all not gonna do the right stuff. i have to teach y'all how to get around this stuff, too. if you have a crew, one of them fools have to know he going to jail. >> it reads in part, this is an unfortunate and inappropriate comment made by cris carter during the 2014 nfc rookie symposium.

the message was notç representative of the message of the symposium or any other league program. carter is an analyst at espn. they have released their own statement regarding those remarks. the college of new jersey in ewing and rowan university in gla glassboro have new buildings. at rowan there's a new building at rowan boulevard which includes apartments, medical offs and businesses. 5:57 now. local children who recently lost a loved one spent a weekend at a special summer camp just for them. more than 60 kids spent the weekend at camp firefly in medford, burlington county. the kids took part in traditional kid activities but also got valuable grief counseling. the camp is free. in southwest philadelphia,

look at this yesterday, 100 volunteers helped build a garden oasis. this used to be a parking lot. it's now a huge green space and community garden. and fruits and vegetables grown in that garden will be use for the monday t montessori's healthy eating initiative. it's an extraordinary sight. the story behind this is just as beautiful. john planted this whole field of wild flowers -- sunflowers in tribute to his wife who died of cancer november. the tribute is more than four miles long. it crosses five farms. the man's neighbors allowed them to use a portion of their property. he said she'd walk into a room and her smile would light up the entire room. >> wasn't anybody that ever met her that didn't love her. she's such a beautiful woman. she didn't really know how
