this morning, blue bell has light fog, the thickest fog in new jersey by far. dense fog, really thick. mt. holly to camden county, gloucester county and into cumberland county. half mile visibility in millville. dense fog reported in dover. that's to start with. the temperatures cooling down. wool see more fog forming in parts of the area. the suburbs seeing that fog, new jersey, 72 degrees. it could still cool down a little bit more so the fog will become more widespread. the lehigh valley is in the clear for most spots. you can see low clouds. that looks like a little bit of fog in easton right now. it will not last. like the rest of the area, a bit of a warmup.fog disappears this afternoon. in fact, later this morning, we'll see enough sunshine, the temperatures climb into the 80s and 90 degrees this afternoon for philadelphia. the shore, a bit cooler there. the temperatures will warm into the low 80s this afternoon. king of prussia, the fog will

disappear. 81 at 11:00 today. we'll go through the forecast hour by hour with a closer look at that rip current risk for the shore and the delaware beaches within i come back in a few minutes. first, let's see what's happening with traffic. jessica boyington has your first alert traffic. >> starting off in new castle, in delaware, there's an overturned tractor-trailer. 95 southbound, that ramp to route 202 which is right around exit 5 is closed and blocked this morning with that accident scene. a little bit of a slow go around there. detours in place as well. here's the schuylkill expressway around spring garden street. we earlier had a disabled truck right in the split right here. other than that, good to go. both directions are looking okay. there looks to be some flashing lights up ahead. we'll keep our eye on that for you and see what that is in the coming minutes. it could be just a typical traffic stop. we'll watch for construction over in new jersey on 295 northbound between route 130 at exit 13 and woodbury heights,

exit 24a. that will there be with lanes lost until about 6:00 this morning. more updates when i'm back in the next ten. >> see you then, jessica. meanwhile, we're following breaking news out of new castle county. that's where a driver had to be pulled to safety after his truck overturned. >> pamela osborne is outside police headquarters this morning. walk us through what happened here. >> people driving on the road this morning saw that accident. they didn't wait for police to get there, although they did give them a call, they jumped in to help and do whatever they could. we were the only ones there as that rescue attempt unfolded. our overnight news photographer pete cain was on 295, headed to another accident when he saw this. a tractor-trailer flips over on 295, three people were hurt, including a truck driver, a passenger and a man driving another vehicle. witnesses tell us the driver of the big rig was attempting to merge on to the southbound lanes of 95 when he lost control.

that truck traveled across three lanes of traffic before hitting the double guide rail and overturning on to this 202 ramp. other drivers who saw theç cra jumped in to help. they called 911 and they tried to get the truck driver and his passenger out safely. we talked to the driver of another car that was involved in the accident before he was taken to the hospital. >> the truck tried to come between the lanes, he tried and cut over, knowing he was already in the far lane, he tried to cut into my lane. he hit all the guardrails, hit my car, messed my whole car up. >> again, that man suffered minor injuries as did the driver of that tractor-trailer. and a passenger inside of that vehicle. we're watching the area. we'll let you know as soon as that accident clears from the scene. reporting live in new castle county, pamela osborne, nbc 10 news. also breaking this morning,

philadelphia police are looking for a hit and run driver who killed a man on a motorcycle. a gmc yukon collided with a motorcycle at witter it and lewden avenues in juniata park around 11:30 last night. the gmc drove off. police followed a trail of motor oil and antifreeze and found the yukon abandoned with the plate removed. the 58-year-old victim lived a few blocks from the scene. pennsylvania's new attorney general gets to work this morning. the state senate unanimously confirmed bruce beemer as the state's top prosecutor. he was sworn in privately yesterday in governor tom wolf's offices. beemer convicted felon kathleen kane as a.g. beemer will serve the last five months of kane's term until the winner of the a.g. race is sworn in.

today a south philadelphia community will take up the fight over parking spaces. we're talking about parking in the median along broad street, south broad street. it's already illegal but rarely, if ever, enforced. that may soon change. the group called taking our south philadelphia streets back will meet this evening at 6:00 at chunk and broad streets to get more signatures on a petition to keep the parking. a former trenton police officer is dead and his wife is charged with killing him. florida police arrested jan sakowski monday. police say she suffocated her husband, henry, in his hospital room. he had routine back surgery and never regained consciousness. they moved to florida in 2003 after henry retired from the trenton police department. a 13-year-old boy is charged in a shooting that injured him and an 11-year-old girl in south philadelphia. the boy was waving the gun

around when it went off, police say. it happened monday night on edding terrace. both are expected to be okay. it's still unclear who owns that gun. in chester county, a man has been diagnosed with the west nile disease. state health officials say two other men were also hit with the illness last week. one in new york and another in northampton county. in rare cases, the mosquito-borne disease can lead to brain and spinal cord inflammation. the delaware county council will mark international overdose awareness day. the use of narcan has saved people from overdoses. today the focus is on helping overdose survivors and addicts recover from drug abuse. members of the county'sç recovy specialist program, which launched in april, will talk about connecting overdose survivors with treatment programs. a judge orders lower merion school district officials to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new budget plan for this school year. monday's ruling is the result of

a lawsuit filed in may seeking to overturn the district's 4.4% tax increase. the judge told the school district it must cap any tax increase at 2.4%. in a statement, the superintendent and the school board president defended the budget and said they would appeal the ruling. meanwhile, chris brown is in trouble again. this time, police say he was armed. >> los angeles police arrested him yesterday after an hour's long standoff just outside of his mansion. according to investigators, a woman claimed the 27-year-old threatened her with a gun at his hous house. the lapd responded but refused to come out and instead took to social media. >> i'm going to barricade myself in my palace. i'm not coming out. >> it took police hours to convince brown to come out of his house. he's charged with assault with a

deadly weapon and could face prison time. in 2009 he was convicted of assaulting his then girlfriend, rihanna. restrictions will be in place along the ben franklin parkway ahead of this weekend's made in america festival. 22nd through 23rd street and parktown place as well. for more information on septa service and made in america's musical lineup, tap the nbc 10 app. the warning about rip currents continues today right along the jersey shore. so if you're going to be in the water, keep this in mine. there are knee deep to waist deep restrictions in place in ocean city. they have the rip current risk signs posted along the beach. no boogie boards or floats are allowed in the surf because of the dangerous rip currents happening right along the shore. now your nbc 10 first alert weather. >> live view from cape may.

things are quiet right now. there's light fog in the cape may area. you'll find plenty of fog in interior new jersey. during the day it's sunshine and temperatures that will climb from the 60s and 70s into the 80s this afternoon. but that rip current risk, not just the jersey shore. it's also the delaware beaches and it is through labor day, a moderate risk of dangerous rip currents right along the coastline, including the delaware beaches, from lewes south. that's today and possibly this weekend. the weather will be just fine. lack how nice and clear it is. nice weather ahead for the holiday weekend. but the swells and the rip current risks are coming from a number of systems. one of them, a tropical depression, just off the carolina coast. that is likely to slowly move out to sea. and this is another tropical depression. this one is looking more impressive, starting to come together. could be the next tropical storm and could affect florida before

we get to the holiday weekend. for us, we'll stay dry during the day today. any fog this morning quickly disappears by 8:00, partly sunny, 73 degrees, then it's into the 80s as we go through the day. closer to 90 degrees this afternoon in philadelphia. the suburbs, 69 right now. light fog in the suburbs to start çwith. sunshine at lunch time and at 4:00 this afternoon, mostly sunny to partly sunny skies. the lehigh valley, we'll see clouds increasing this afternoon. rally not foggy this morning. the clouds take over and this evening, we could see scattered showers, possibly even a thunderstorm in the lehigh valley. delaware, sunny skies after the fog burns off, 71 degrees at 8:00. 85 degrees at noontime and then close to the 90 degree mark this afternoon at 4:00, 87 degrees and new jersey, the fog will disappear slowly this morning, sunshine this afternoon. 88 degrees later today. there's the shore, 75 degrees now, into the low 80s with the sea breeze.

5:15 right now on this wednesday. this is a live look at lindenwold, camden county. meteorologist bill henley tells me that the fog could get a little bit worse before it gets better and eventually burns off. he'll have your full neighborhood forecast in just a few moments. now to decision 2016. the trump campaign continues to push for pennsylvania. donald trump's son, eric, visited clark summit yesterday just outside scranton to open the newest trump campaign office in the keystone state. he rallied voters in this small lackawanna town. trump's middle son spoke with the close connection he has with

the people of clark summit, saying he spent time there as a child. >> part of the country that's near and dear to my heart, carbon da carbondale, waverly. he pointed to hillary clinton's failures as secretary of state, telling the crowd those failures are a sign of things to come should she be elected president. isis says mohammad al adnani has been killed. he was part of isis from the very beginning and was considered the terror grupp's most public figure. he spent six years in u.s. custody after being jailed in iraq. take a look at this video. an elderly connecticut driver backed up into a gas pump by accident but sparked a major fire. the whole thing was caught on tape. the pump ended up tipping over

on to a second car with two children inside. as you can see in this video, the driver was able to get the kids out of the car before it went up in flames. a store clerk hit the emergency shutoff for the gas. police say that action helped divert a major tragedy. somebody looking out for them. >> man. >> a scary medical emergency became a surprise birth when a utah couple discoveredç they we eight months pregnant. >> this is interesting. kallen and brook williams checked into a hospital after brook was having seizures. after running some tests, the doctors found it was a pregnancy that sparked the medical scare. >> i've had every emotion, really. she never had any sickness, never felt her stomach move. >> both mom and girl are doing

right now and in south jersey, 69 degrees in washington township while it's in the low 70s for voorhees and mt. laurel. a little more moisture around than compared to yesterday morning. temperatures cooling you down, that's why we've gotten the fog this morning. clear skies over the fog. we'll see sunshine before this possibility moves in. this is a cold front. it's going to come into the area with a chance of some showers this evening and again overnight tonight and tomorrow. by late this afternoon, clouds increasing to the west. there's a chance of late afternoon showers. just a slight chance. the chance of showers will be increasing as we go into the evening hours. that's 6:30 this evening. by 8:00, could see storms over the baltimore area. but there's just a slight chance of a shower in our area. those storms pop up by late this evening, in delaware, central delaware. could see heavy downpours. that possibility of storms stays with us during the day tomorrow. it won'tç be an all-day rainfa. enough clouds to keep things

it is a foggy morning for much of the area. dense fog formed overnight as the temperatures have cooled down. 73 degrees at 5:26. you can see low clouds and some very light fog in this view from center city. really not an issue in the city, however. let's see if there are traffic issues. jessica boyington is in the first alert traffic center. >> isn't there always a traffic issue? right now we're not looking at one of those spots. this is the blue route around ridge pike. no big problems or delays in either direction right there. there's something going on in delaware. weep touch on that at 5:30. tragedy averted. we'll tell you witnesses took action and potentially saved a life when a child was left inside a hot car. plus, coming together in the wake of a tragedy. see how a congregation is reacting to a fire that devastated their church and what investigators are still trying to figure out.

nbc 10 news starts now. >> good morning. welcome back to "nbc 10 news today." i'm rosemary connors. >> and i'm vai sikahema. let's start with meteorologist bill henley in the nbc 10 first alert neighborhood weather. fog coming out of burlington county. >> the worst of it is in new jersey with fog really not bad. we can see acrossle delaware from the adventure aquarium. the fog is thicker in some areas in the suburbs. quakertown has zero visibility. not an issue at all for pottstown and allentown. light fog in doylestown and blue bell. there's dense fog as well. mt. holly, quarter mile visibility, down to half a mile at toms river, half a mile in millville and dense fog in dover. to start with, we will see sunshine and the fog will be disappear. there's some light fog in the lehigh valley. this is the view from easton. clouds overhead. they'll be thinning out and this morning we'll warm into the 80s by late
