70 at the suburbs. 74 in philadelphia. the lehigh valley nice and clear, 70 degrees. temperatures will be building rapidly. by 10:00, 82 degrees in easton. delaware, you're at 71. you'll see clouds building this afternoon. after a lot of sunshine this morning. 81 degrees, that's by 9:00 this morning. we're heading to 90 this afternoon with a chance of late-day storms for philadelphia. the suburbs, that's even a possibility into new jersey and delaware, too. showers and thunderstorms are nowhere near us now. the doppler radar shows we are in the clear. look to the west, you see activity moving through the ohio valley. i'll break it down hour by hour and show you when you're most likely to need the umbrella when i'm back in ten minutes. first, we'll see how traffic is looking. jessica boyington has your first alert traffic. thanks. starting from our cameras at haddenfield road, route 70.

picking up the gas main break. traffic detoured around the eastbound side. traffic moving away from camden, away from the philadelphia area. not seeing major dlaelays becau it's super early. around grove and the kings highway area, you'll see problems and detours. you can take 38 to get by or haddon avenue. we're not seeing any major problems or delays, it's only 5:00 in the morning. here's the vine street expressway and cameras at 24th. everything looks really good. this is eastbound toward 95 right here. westbound toward the schuylkill, that's good, as well. we'll end on 95. moving through delaware, north and south looks good. so far, ten-minute trip. this is ongoing construction. the northbound ramp to route 141 northbound is closed. back to you. >> thank you. police in bucks county arrest a man for shooting up a car in a walmart parking lot.

>> officers spent hours looking for the suspect they say was armed and dangerous. katy zachry has more. >> reporter: that suspect, 32-year-old brandon grosso, is accused of having several other confrontations before and after the incident that played out in a very public place. this is the suspect that richland police have in custody. 32-year-old brandon grosso. he's in jail accused of firing a shotgun into a stranger's car in a parking lot. here's the damage it caused -- it blew out a window. there were two people in that car. they say they were pulling away from the walmart shopping center in quakertown after dropping a family member off. >> what makes it scarier is how the angle was pointed. probably make like an inch or two more. it could have hit me. it could have hit my mom, and she didn't even turn.

>> reporter: soon after our 11:00 news aired, richland township police say they found brandon grosso. he was at this holiday inn express hotel in quakertown. overnight, he was arrested and arraigned. he remains in jail this morning. for now, reporting live, katy zachry, nbc10 news. >> get some water and clear your throat. hope you're okay. released on bond. nbc10 was outside court in center city last night just moments after an amtrak engineer, brando bostian, was arraigned on manslaughter charges and released on $81,000 bail. the engineer said nothing as he turned himself in to authorities yesterday. bostian's arrest came two years after his speeding arrest that killed eight and injured 200 others. new from overnight, the driver accused of crashing his car into a crowd of tourists in new york's times square faces murder charges -- attempted murder charges and aggravated vehicular homicide charges. the crash killed a person and injured two 22 others. sources tell nbc news that

afternoon. there's a chance of thunderstorms. 70s for the lehigh valley, the suburbs, delaware is 71. and 74 in south jersey and philadelphia. warm at the shore, too. 74 degrees. some of the suburbs yesterday had dropped down into the 60s. we have a few spots this morning. not as many as yesterday morning. 68 in malvern. 71 in cochranville and low 70s for perk see, elroy, north wales. st. david's, 73. close to 90 this afternoon. another hot and a humid day today. and that heat and humidity could give us some showers and thunderstorms. no snow activity for the shore. look to the west, you see the showers that are moving through the ohio valley. look farther to the west, storms in missouri. so keep an eye on the sky this afternoon. we do expect to see some development as a cold front arrives. we won't get the cold front during the day. we will get another hot one today. 74 now at 7:00.

the state senate passed a revised measure on medicinal marijuana. it allows treating for ptsd. an earlier version allowed only psychiatrists to approve those requests. new jersey lawmakers are taking steps to protect students walking to school. it's called antwan's law in honor of 17-year-old antwan timbers jr. who was killed last year when a car hit him as he walked near burlington city high school. antwan's law would allow counties and towns to lower

matt delucia, nbc10 news. today the city of new orleans will take down its fourth and final statue of a confederate hero some believe is divisive. the statue of general robert e. lee was erected in 1884. the mayor is removing it to do away with symbols of white supremacy in the area. the mayor came up with the idea after the 2015 massacre of nine black parishioners by a self-proclaimed racist in south carolin carolina. 5:15 on this friday. you always call it a happy friday. we love fridays. >> we do. nobody more than jessica. >> it's usually a really easy drive, as well. friday one of the lightest days, especially getting into the nicer summer/springtime. we see three-day weekends a lot. both directions look good. headed southbound, no problems. speaking of the schuylkill, we'll check in with the drive times. you can see everything's green eastbound. if you're moving toward center
