we're following breaking news. three people are hurt after a crash on southbound i-95 in south philadelphia. two cars collided at the broad street exit around 5:00 this morning. took two victims to the hospital. one is in serious condition. a third person will be okay. police are now in the process of redirecting traffic. we'll continue to keep an eye on this situation. in addition to the crash, we're also watching the forecast, especially at 6:40 tonight when the eagles face off against the vikings. meteorologist krystal klei has the all-important gameday forecast. hey, krystal. >> i'm so glad i can report a great forecast. this morning, it's a little cold out there. those getting an early, early, start, they're bundled up. 31 in philadelphia, 28 in wilmington. lymon at 25 degrees. check this out. we're starting in the 30s like yesterday. yesterday we made it to the 50s. going do it again today. this will be a pretty good

welcome back. first alert meteorologist krystal klei here. yesterday, we were talking about the nice warmup on the way. it's certainly arrived. if you were out yesterday afternoon, it felt great outside. that's because we made it up to 57 degrees for the official high in philadelphia. good news is, we won't be quite as warm. we're not going to have as much sunshine. we're going to keep that warm air pattern. we'll be at 52 degrees for today. tomorrow we'll be in the mid-50s. let's break down your sunday starting in philadelphia. 4:31 right now. it's 6:12 in the morning. 47 degrees at lunchtime and 50 as we get to 2:00 in the afternoon. mentioned that forecast high will stick in the low 50s. today about 52 degrees. for new jersey, we're at 40 right now. it's clear currently. but we will see increasing cloud cover throughout the day. around 47 degrees at your lunch hour and 49 at 2:00 this afternoon. as you are gathering with friends and family ready to cheer on the eagles, it will be pretty nice outside.

stabbed a woman three times inside new cathedral cemetery. the person who stabbed her then rushed her to the hospital. she died a short time later. police later arrested that suspect. the olympic winter games begin less than three weeks from now. history will be made during the opening ceremony. in switzerland, north and south korea signed a deal to march together at the opening ceremonies under a unification flag. the international olympic committee says 22 north korean athletes will compete in different events. players from both koreas will join as one team to compete in women's hockey. the agreement between the two countries could signal a major shift in their relationship and starting tuesday, "nbc nightly news" anchor lester holt takes you inside north korea. look for his report from pyongyang on the nightly news, the "today" show and msnbc. now to the stories that wall street will be watching in the week ahead. we get a preview from jackie

here. let's check the temperatures. getting out early this morning, a few ingredients later this afternoon for the eagles game. you'll need a bigger jacket as you head out the door. 28 in -- clay mont at 29. odessa at 35. dropping farther south, you see pretty much the same. milton, 27 degrees. warmer rehoboth beach at 39 and dewey beach at 35 degrees. the 30s, upper 20s to start. you'll want maybe the bigger jacket as you begin to head out the door. same deal with the pennsylvania suburbs. newtown 31 and warrenton 39. while you need it now, you won't need it this afternoon. things will be nice. kind of like yesterday when we make our way to the 50s. one notable difference. cloud cover. the clouds are building up to the west of us. this is going to move our direction through the morning and especially afternoon hours.

on your monday. for the most part, it's going to stay fairly dry monday. tuesday is a different story. that's when the rain will move in. let's talk about the eagles game. kickoff at 48 degrees for us. this is a mild game that we're looking at here. 45 by halftime. down to 44 degrees in the fourth quarter. winds are going to be light to at best 5 to 10 miles per hour. the winds won't cause any issues either. that was one of the factors that we were worried about in last week's game. three-day outlook. 52 today, 54 monday and 58 on tuesday. tuesday is the rainy day forecast. in the suburbs, up to 54 with isolated showers on your monday. lehigh valley, isolated showers. 49 degrees. 52 on tuesday. we'll wrap it up with new jersey, the shore and delaware from low to upper 50s over the next several days. again, everyone looking at a good bit of rain on our tuesday.

one man proved you're never too old to fulfill a dream. >> his name is robert reed. for years he talked about skydiving but he had never done it. he was about to turn 90. that's when the southern california resident finally took the plunge, so to speak. reed says he was inspired by former president george h.w. bush. who used to skydive every year on his birthday. reed says being in the sky made him feel closer to his late wife. >> i figured if george bush could do it, by golly, i could do it. my wife passed away last year.

american troops overseas will have to do without the eagles tonight or any sunday football for that matter unless the government shutdown -- the government pulled the plug on the armed forces network because sports is a nonessential activity. the network provides news and entertainment and sports. the u.s. forces in dozens of countries and on navy ships around the world. the shutdown of the federal government is in its second day with a partisan divide on immigration and spending still in play. late friday night, lawmakers and the white house failed to find common ground and pass a budget agreement. the big sticking point, democrats want to deal on the daca immigration policy, something president trump is not willing to talk about until the government is back up and running again. the senate plans to vote on a budget extension early tomorrow morning. he has been an eagles fan and attending games for a very, very long time. >> it is a dream come true for a

weekend. last weekend, we had a lot of live coverage. people were having fun. i think it's going to be better now. a live look outside. you can see that we've got this clear sky overhead. we're seeing the cracks of sunlight on the horizon. officially sunrise hits a little after 7:00 a.m. this morning. let's go to the philly neighborhood tap. the early start to the tailgating, it's still cold now. 35 out there now. en dora at 36. and 32 for the current reading in bustle ton. lehigh valley, at 39 in reading. got 30s in areas like white hall and for america town at 40. walnut fort at 33 degrees to start. don't worry. there is that nice climb no matter which neighborhood you are in. wide view of radar and satellite on first alert radar. not a lot to track. clouds building to the west are

moving our way. yes, those are a few light little sprinkles of rain trying to make it to the ground. here's the good news. i don't think that will impact us for today or for the game tonight. look at the hour by hour model. i'll show you what i'm talking about. as we get into the afternoon hours, increasing clouds. cloudy as you tailgate. but no rain. in the midst of the game, look at it. no action over philly and that is going to stay dry for game time. the spotty showers hang to the north and west, especially in the overnight hours. 11:00 and the game, could a little sprinkle get closer to the field? could you need to put on the wipers briefly? yes. but i think we'll stay dry through the game itself. best chance is an isolated shower in the morning drive. otherwise, it will be pretty dry but cloudy monday that we're dealing with.

it's tuesday that kicks up a notch. landsville at 49 m cliffs town at 47 degrees. low 50s in new jersey neighborhoods and the jersey shore. smyrna at 51. rehoboth beach, 50 for a high. kickoff at 48 degrees and cloudy. we'll stay cloudy at halftime, 45 degrees. down to 44 in the fourth quarter. you have a mid-level jacket. not the puffiest one or the lightest one. 54 degrees on monday with an isolated chance of a shower. best chance of rain with periodic heavy rain on tuesday with 58 degrees. a bit of a cooldown midweek. back up to the 50s by next weekend. this is sports desk. i'm danny pommels, nbc sports

philadelphia. you can feel it in the air. we're this close to the nfc championship game. eagles and vikings facing off with a trip to super bowl 52 on the line. >> go back to minnesota. >> yeah. how is that for a philadelphia welcome as the vikings arrived at their hotel. minnesota defense has gotten a lot of pub. we have numbers that we think you'll like. >> everybody talks about how the vikings have the best defense in the nfl and they're bringing that to philly. yes. they're giving up 12 points a game in their dome in minneapolis. but when they're on the road, the defense is not as good. they're giving up over 19 points a game away from home. it's the eagles who have the defensive advantage at home. they're giving up 13 points a game at the linc this year. second best in the nfl. they have the second best defense in the nfl over the last two seasons. the vikings have a harder time running the ball on road.

averaging just 3.7 yards per carry away from home. the eagles are motivated to show they have the best defense in the nfl. >> got a lot of respect for their defense and players on their team. but you know, we got a lot of confidence in our defense as well and the guys that we have. so we're not focused on them. we're going to have a big performance for ourselves. >> it's going to be a game of possession. we got to get some takeaways by the defense. at the end of the day, it will be is our d-line better than theirs. we'll show up on sunday. >> history is in the eagles favor. the last eight conference title games all have been won by the home team and the eagles over the last two years in the nfl have the best home record. at the nova care complex, i'm john clark, nbc sports philadelphia. the eagles are hot at the nfc championship.
