tied up with cell phone chords and pistol whipped by robbers, the frightening attack on a family in their home. and how a passenger explained this discovery. and the eye popping sum a jury just awarded hulk hogan. i'm maurice dubois, those stories aed head in just -- ahead in just a moment, but first the approaching snowstorm on the first day of spring. lonnie quinn is looking at the projected totals. >> right now all the models are pushing it a little to the east than we saw yesterday. the further east it goes the smaller the snow totals, what we're not entirely in agreement about is how far east, so i put something together i hope will show you exactly what you can expect, and again, there are four different models to go through, and they all have a little different scenario, but there's a trend. here's the two systems merging,

the cause is not yet known. and developing news in manhattan where a cyclist was stabbed and slashed by a pedestrian just before 8:30 near madison square garden. not sure what happened to spark the violence, but the victim is expected to survive. new tonight he was tied up and pistol whipped incise hid home. -- inside his home. he's telling his store only to us after a group of burglars broke in and attacked him and his grandfather. >> i saw this guy with a gun, so he told me to get on my back and tied my feet. >> reporter: he's describing one of the most frightening moments of his life. thursday moment at this home four men kicked in the front door, robbed him and his grandfather before beating him badly. >> it was very scary. >> reporter: right now police

the jury award him $15 million, and he sued gawker after posting the tape without his permission. a man injured in the deadly crane collapse last month in nhattan filed a suit against the city. the 73-year-old was sitting in his parked car when the crane's boom crashed on the roof last month. the crane fell while being lowered in high wednesday. the suit claims the city. neglect negligent in monitoring the construction site. a bullet pierces the window of a car in queens with two infaints in the backseat. this is the hole it left in the car. the shattered glass fell on the children, but we're told they were not seriously hurt. the grandmother of the one of the babies was driving when the gun fire rang out this afternoon. police believe the gunman may have been on the roof of the

today we learned the city has several state of the art bathrooms ready to be deployed, but for some reason they've been sit not guilty a warehouse for years. steve went to try and find out why. >> reporter: if you're looking for a public bathroom in new york city, this off the beaten track lane in an industrial section of queens will lead you to more than a dozen of them, brand new, automatic self- cleaning restrooms, that for some reason have been sitting here unused for about a deck ad. >> it's time to get them installed. >> reporter: they're operated or should be by a company, but currently only four are installed in the city, and the one we found in queens wasn't even working. a vehicle from the spanish- based company previously had the contract with the city approached the out of order restroom while we were there, but the staffer inside didn't
