breaking overnight... one person is recovering after being shot inside a clifton area restaurant.police say the man was shot in the leg just before 1 a-m inside the "elephant walk" at the corner of clifton and mcmillan.he was taken to u-c medical center with non-life threatening injuries.there is no suspect information at this time but police say if you know anything call crimestoppers the tri-state mother who police says admitted to putting her four year old step-son into scalding water... will appear in court in just a few hours. anna ritchie is charged with child endangerment... but that will likely be changed to a more serious charge.the warren county coroner says austin cooper died from those burns. ritchie's bond was more than tripled yesterday to 350-thousand dollars. austin's father found him ...and called 9-1-1 because his son wasn't breathing. also due in court this

fired a ballistic missile into the sea just hours ago.. the missile flew about 500 miles before crashing off the launch happened just days after north korean leader kim jong un ordered tests of a nuclear warhead and ballistic missiles capable of carrying warheads. in just a few hours- police will release more details about an arrest in connection to the 2015 great american tower shootings.rayshawn herald faces a federal charge in connection with the january 2015 shootings. shots were fired on four occasions into the tower. the incidents happened after business hours and only security officers were inside. investigators say herald had the gun used in these shootings *but* he's not charged with the actual shootings.

looking for the suspect...while the teen that tried to save her is being held in jail.. jail..according to investigaors--the boy inside the home struggled with the intruder before escaping to call 911.he says he spotted the suspect on top of his dad's girlfriend...39-year-old darlene renner... she was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday.the teen was the only other person home when the attack happened. police say he is now in jail on an unrelated arson charge from last year.we're told they are not considering him a suspect in this case at this point. five deputies in north carolina are now on suspension because of what they didn't do at a donald trump rally in fayetteville. you probably recall this incident. a protestor being taken out of the rally by sheriff's deputies... another man punches rakeem jones. now.. the sheriff there is disciplining the deputies who were there because they did not take any action. three of those deputies were 'demoted' and 'suspended without pay' for five days. two were 'suspended without pay' for three days.
