mansfield, norwood and southeastern mass not left out. plymouth and parts of the cape getting heavy rain. we take this out in time. it's still with us at 5:00. most of the heavy stuff by 6:00 or 7:00 starts to lift north but there are still a few heavier hours that could linger along the coastline. then finally all of it lifts north. we'll let you know what follows in a few minutes. >> will rogers airport is locked down shooting. ben is following this. ben: it's still a very fluid situation. we know one person has been shot. police are searching for a possible second victim the airport remains shut down. people are telling anybody inside airport to shelter place-to-place. people have been going from car-to-car. all roads that lead into and out
we do not know the condition of the shooting victim at this hour. no information on the shooter has been released. we do know this happened near the departures area. not clear if it was beyond security. to give you some comparisons, it's about the same size as the airport in manchester, new hampshire. we'll continue to monitor the situation and bring you updates as they happen. wcvb, newscenter 5. >> more breaking news. eight ppl hospital after a silver lined bus crash at herald and washington streets a little more than an hour ago. a driver pulled out and hit the bus. the injuries are believed the be minor. police are searching for the cab driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash in boston's back bay that involved a police cruiser. here's sean with the latest at the scene. sean: a lot of damage was left
including the state police cruiser. state police spent the morning searching for security cameras that might have caught video or the taxi that took off. that chain reaction crash happened around 2:30 at commonwealth an berkeley. the trooper had been following the cab for driving erratically the cab and another car collided, knocked into the cruiser and a parked car. then the taxi took off. state police are still searching for the cab driver, starting with finding the cab company. white with green markings. thankfully, though, no one was injured in this hit-and-run crash. >> new at 4:00, police in quincey are asking for the public's help to find a thief and this man is a person of interest riding on a scooter. police want to question him in a series of burglaries that happened on quincey avenue. anyone with information is asked to call quincey police. >> a worcester man is hospitalized in intensive care with a serious head injury after

we have. this is the wider view of the system. notice even down here, we're still getting some development. so so we still have a few hours to go through. how much rain so far? this is as of 4:00. fitchburg was approaching half an inch and worcester has gone over half an inch. orange mass approaching pretty quickly. look, over an inch in providence, rhode island, almost an inch in newport andst widespread to 1 1/2 inches total. northern rhode island and southeastern mass we still have elements of heavy rain. a rumble of thunder is not even impossible in a couple of spots with this. so from amherst, new hampshire, to fitchburg, that's some heavy rain and moderate to heavy rain extends to holden, hudson, framingham, whalen and southeast through norwood and brockton and
cape, new bedford all the way across to falmouth, all heavy bands of rain and downpours. be careful on the roadways. we take you hour by hour. you will see that the aerial coverage is getting less but there still are these embedded downpours. they start to lift more to the north but a few hug the coastline. then the action is to the north and then the action will be coming to an end. there will still be low clouds early tomorrow. maybe a touch of miss here or there but no heavy rain will around. clouds should break partially tomorrow afternoon. it looks like a fairly mild day. then it looks like a brighter day coming up on thursday. pretty poor visibility with the rain and wind at 20 miles per hour out of the north-northeast. that's why there is a coastal flood advisory for the next high tide. between 10:00 and 2:00 a.m., by then the winds will be lighter but they pick up now, so that
