several others when he was shot.he was taken to a local hospital where he is expected to survive.milwaukee police are looking for suspects this morning. 3 now to an exclusive story..a man trying to break up a fight between some teenage girls in racine... winds up in the hospital himself.one man who watched the fight happen spoke with cbs 58. 58.eric ellis says he was on his way to the drug store .. when he saw group of teenage girls yelling and fighting in the middle of the street.he says one of the girls grabbed a hammer out of her car, and started charging at man trying to break up the fight.ellis says when that man took the hammer away, things took a turn for the worse.. the girl got in her suv.. and ran him over ?twice?. ellis says first responders showed up within minutes... and rushed the man to the hosptial... "people thought he was dead. he did probably black out right away from the impact, but he was moving around once they got him on the strecher." strecher." police we spoke with wouldn't say the man's condition... but

philadelphia.police say a group of teenagers started attacking people yesterday... for no apparent reason... in the center city arethe victims include an off-duty police detective-- whose eye socket was fractured while he tried to intervene.the teenagers took off after the attacks.but police later arrested two 16-year-old suspects... who are facing assault charges.investigators are also looking for surveillance video that may will help them catch other suspects. chicago police are sending a message to gang members and violent offenders.the police department initiative this weekend... to crack down on crime and drugs ... with the help of federal and state agencies. agencies.their goal is to break up gangs in the so-called "hot zones" on the city's west and south sides. there have been more than 600 homicides in chicago this year ... and the city is on track to have its deadliest year in two decades.chicago's police superintendent says... more violence will ?not? be tolerated.
