night.both were from rual elkhart lake.right now.. officials believe they didn't stop at a stop sign and slammed into another car. the 72-year-old driver of the second car was taken to the hospital... but is expected to recover. a judge ordered him to be released on monday..four days later.. brendan dassey is still behind bars.. bars..the manitowoc county man was convicted in the 2005 murder of teresa halbach when he was just 16-years-old.he and his uncle steven avery's cases were case made famous by the netflix series 'making a parise is live outside the columbia correctional facility with more on where this case goes now.. this morning brendan dassey is still in his cell here at the columbia correctional institution. lots of eyes have been on this prion this week after a us judge said dassey was to be released by friday eveng at the latest -- but last night wisconsin's attorney general filed an emergency motion to keep dassey in prison, as the case

re yesterday's motion, there had already been a lot of back and forth between the state and federal courts. on monday, that us judge william duffin granted dassey's release. on tuesday, the state asked for a stay on that decision -- but yesterday duffin said no -- that dassey needs to be released by friday. yesterday afternoon, the state filed that emergency motion with the seventh circuit court of appeals, a higher court, asking for dassey to remain in prison. while 're yet to know if dassey will be released by friday evening , his fami tells us they are hopeful to have brendan home in timeor thanksgiving. we'll hear from his brother, coming up at 5:30 live in portage im jp cbs 58 3 no matter what happens in the next 48 hours this isn't over yet.dassey's conviction was overturned back in august.. but attorney general brad schimel appealed on behalf of the state.wstill don't know when the appeals court will hear oral argents for that. 3 stay with cbs 58 awe

if dassey will be let out as his case go through the court system. 3 new this morning -- one person is dead after an ?explosion? in a small town in central illinois.police in canton say.. it was ?gas explosion.? people on the scene say... it happened at the opa house. the person who?died?... worked for ameren illinois -- a gas and electric company.at least 11 others were hurt. canton is about 30 miles ?southwest of peoria. thouands of people took to the streets to protest president-elect donald trump -- even right here in milwaukee..now... people are his top advisors -- steve bannon. 1:02-09 everything he has to say is not something i want to have any sort of power and i here is fors what everyone for this was the scene in los angeles last night. the group who organized the rally said it was a way stand together... and a way to hold elected officials accountable. bannon is the rmer head of the website "breitbart news"... which critics say gave a platform to the "alt-right" movement... which has been associated with white nationalism. 3

a cudahy man facing felony charges for setting fire to his waukesha county workplace.. he says it was all because of a spider. spider.the crimi states there is surveillance video showing 24-year-old kevin butler holding a lighter to a sack of almonds back in october..he told officers he saw a spider and proceeded to light it on fire.the colaint says butler told officers he did not realize anything s on fire..but he's accused of causing over 13-thousand dollarin damages. a local bar owner is calling on the mayor's office to look into his concerns.he says hi scho kids are cang problems in milwaukee's

to get inside the southside home on uesday but were scared away. the victim tells us she installed a security system just last week-- after someone broke-in... and stole some of her belongings.she posted the suspect's picture on facebook in hopes of getting justice.
