6:32 am
fair and accurate count.the judge heard about 4 hours of testimony and arguements from both sides.but she ultimatly said there was not any hard enough or clear evidence hacking in the machine's took place.she said it'll be up the each county how they want to proceed.and while 19 counties including milwaukee have said they plan to do the recount electronicly, stein's attorney wants all counties to reconsider. 3 i would urge all of the county clerks and all of the canvassing consider and reconsider their decisions. and lets just do a hand recount. we will finish this process, we will know exactly what the tallys are in all of the counties, in all of the wards. and everyone will see exactly what wisconsin has done and what thier vote really is. is.the stein campaign paid the 3.5 million dollars yesterday, so the recount will begin tomorrow. but first, the election commission staff will hold a teleconference for all county

processes. that's scheduled for later today. 3 attorney general brad shimel says he's pleased with the judge's decision. he released a statement that says in part-- "the outstanding effort of the department of justice attorneys and staff who worked on this case makes me extremely proud." 3 here's a look at the timeline for the process.the recount starts tomorrow.results have to be in by 8 p-m on december those results will be certified. 3 meanwhile thousands of volunteers across the state are getting trained to ?watch? the recount happen. in southeastern wisconsin observers got a crash course in how the process works. julie parise is live at suburban bourbon in muskego. that's where hundreds turned out for thattraining last night. last night these volunteers were handed an 8 page manual and sat through a two hour training course. they will watch those doing the recount
6:34 am
the job is tedious. these volunteers won't be doing any counting.they won't be allowed to touch a single ballot. instead - ey'll be watching state employees record totals - checking numbers on machines and on paper. they'll also record all results on paper. it's all a part of the democratic process. its a way of showing in solidarity around the state...tehre are people that want to see fair politics done. for the scientists who said there were anamolies its a way of making sure were doing democracy the way it should be. 3 this training was for wisconsin's first, fourth and fifth congressional districts. other districts are holding similar trainings across the statelive in muskego julie parise cbs 58 3 we'll continue to monitor developments on the presidential recount
6:35 am
3 we've learned president-elect donald trump will leave his business when he takes office. he tweeted about it early this morning. trump will hold a major news conference in new york city- with his children-- on december 15th. he says he wants to fully focus on running the country. in a tweet he says- "while i am not mandated to do this under the law ... i feel it is visually important as president to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses. he says legal documents are being crafted... of business operations. 3 3 new this morning... a school in milwaukee is celebrating ?10 years? of success... serving low income families. 3 educare is an early education program... for pre-school aged children. it's part of a national network of 21 schools. the milwaukee location is an ?extension? of next door school. it's also the only ?educare? in wisconsin. there is no cost to families-- tuition is covered through a combination of federal and state funds. but, there are income requirements. "we also really focus on
6:36 am
we know that low income children don't really hear the volume of words that their higher income peers do. we're really focused on developing their vocabularies because that will be a key to their sucess in their later school career." educare will mark a decade at a fundraising event tonight... at the milwaukee art museum starting at 5:30. tickets are sold out... but if you'd like to learn more about how you can help "educare" in the future... we'll put a link to the website at cbs 58 dot com. click newslinks. and be sure to look for my special report on ?educare? this sunday on cbs 58 hear from a family.. now sending their ?3rd? child through the program.... about why it's unique and so special to the neighborhood it serves. stay with us ..justin is in next with your full forecast.
