going to be very sweaty, very stifling later today. let's start with look at current drought conditions. this is new sense yesterday, folks. we have extreme drought for the first time since they started keeping records on this type of thing in 2000. in massachusetts we have not had an extreme drought on record. so it is incredibly dry. everybody knows we need the rain. everybody's lawn is crispy out there, things very, very dry and we do have rain coming in the gist of it what i want you to take away from the graphic is it could be honestly seven inches of rain between today, tomorrow and sunday. one to three inches i think is what i'm looking at in most towns and cities in the timeframe. 79 in boston, heat index up to 82? and on and off clouds will rule this morning and temps sliding up to 89 by 11:00 a.m. and highs in 90s and this
track them as they pop up and nashua and new hampshire, foxborough and 93? and highs should stilt reach mid to upper 80s, 88 in hull but 90s in brockton and bridgewater, mid-90s at that, so got chance for thunderstorms i was mentioning and all matters whether town sees it and with the storms looking at potential for downpours and also some damaging gusts. there's an elevated risk that they could turn strong to severe. i see the first of them popping up around 2:00 p.m. between two and five tracking from the north and west down toward boston. we got some storms overhead and after that they continue to track this evening into southeastern massachusetts. best bet for some storms in
after midnight which you see some of the storms fade away, so as you wake up tomorrow initially we are dry but see how the front is so close by, that will trigger additional scattered showers and storms and cool things down at the coast a little bit, best chance for heavy rain will be late on sunday as the front at the closest. high temperatures tomorrow taking step back at coastline. 7-day forecast with weekend always in view has 86 tomorrow 90s on sunday with afternoon morning and tiny bit of relief and now let's send you back over to julie. >> julie: welcome back. we want to introduce the hometown hero. life enrichment director.
