that, so mostly low numbers as we passed the delegates out there. look at that, saturday and sunday, more that forecast, we are following breaking news. a deadly crash causing down the sumner tunnel. right now, traffic in the area is being detoured. let's get to seven's chris anderson now, with the breaking details. sarah, good morning. an absolutely terrific pressure in the sumner tunnel. you can see right behind me, and you can also see the crash share. a single vehicle into the guardrail. they just yells this morning, one person killed on the scene, when in critical condition, and the third occupant suffered minor injuries but, it is an absolutely gruesome scene. these are on the scene here. they have the government exit on the sumner tunnel to get onto 93 at this time. they are rerouting traffic to get into the tunnel after this car slammed into the guardrail at about 3:00 this morning. a little bit after 3:00.

they also gather surveillance video from local businesses and pull street. they saw this man on the video. they said that he fits the description that the woman gave him, and he was riding a bike. police had told them that her attacker was riding a bike. now, at this point, they just want to talk with the man on are asking anyone who can help identify him to call police. your life in rockport this morning, jennifer egan, 7news, today new england. a private pilot of a decision. police in michigan say the pilot was drunk, and that his blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit to drive a car. police were tipped off by the captain of the plane said it was clear that his copilot was intoxicated. >> man: at that point in time, the sergeant was able to detect a strong odor of intoxicants, slurred speech, and bloodshot, watery eyes. a field sobriety test was administered, we should

name of the suspect but according to reports, he is from florida and will be arraigned this week. and also this week, a boy is recovering after he had to be pulled from a chelmsford pool. the four-year-old was supervised but still ended up under the water in a pool in the home of gorham yesterday afternoon. adults pulled him out of the water. he was flown to a boston hospital by helicopter? new this morning, two people are facing serious charges in stabbing in new bedford. police say 21-year-old louisa raffaella class was involved in a triple stabbing with a 15-year-old boy dead and two others injured outside of a housing project wednesday night. a 16-year-old boy was also charged in connection with the crime. and police said that the stabbing happened after a big fight without, involving a gang with a different housing project. the two people who are injured in the stabbing are expected to be okay.

right now, people in south florida are preparing for a heavy rainfall as storms move into the area. their homes until the flooding people in miami are stocking up ahead of the storm. they are clearing stores of essentials like water, batteries, and flashlights, just in case they are stranded in their homes. but talking about the weather here, it has really been wonderful. >> yes, chris. what can we expect? >> it has been the theme of the summer.

had nice weather out there. this is the area that they are watching across south florida, not even a tropical storm get. it is a tropical wave, struggling to get going. in fact, the chances of it being a formidable storm or lower across south florida than anywhere. maybe a couple of days ago they had a higher potential of gaining strength. but as you work the way down the line here over the weekend, at minimum, it will bring soaking rains too much of the state of florida, south florida. overall, we are still waiting for this to develop into anything. and if it does, it was still caused some rain. but maybe the northern or eastern gulf of mexico, where he could pick up some strength. so, could be the next tropical storm? yes. right now, indications still show this storm being ragged, so it does not look like it is a powerhouse of a storm down to the tropics at this point. 73 in boston for us, 74 in limit, and it almost as a touch tropical outside of southern

sunday, more on that forecasted. >> thanks, chris. and we are staying on top of breaking news. the sumner channel is back open after a deadly crash earlier this morning. right now, the on ramp to 93 north mays closed after a crash that left one person dead, and a second person with serious injuries. it appears that a pickup truck slammed into the side of the tunnel, just before 3:30 this morning. the cause of this crash remains under investigation. and 7's danielle hirsch has more. >> good investigation is still underway here, in boston at the sumner tunnel. one lane was close, but now, all lanes are back open. just the ramp to government center and 93 northbound as you just saw there is still close. so, this will probably still caused some delays this morning, and we're not quite sure ?no word on when they will wrap the investigation appeared we will continue to keep an eye out on this one. again, this is the sumner

interest in a murder in east boston that happened back in june. boston police found this woman, after asking for the public's help in identifying her. police say the investigation is still ongoing. investigative's found a woman dead in a parking garage on princes street back in june. investigators say she died from police are still trying to find out white 18-year-old blanca was killed. police have charged one man with a murder. >> and a 9-1-1 operator is off the job as police it all started when a woman was delivering chinese food was murdered, one for roberts attacked her on tuesday. her coworker called 911, but because of a language barrier, have trouble communicating with the officer. after a confusion about the location of the incident, the operator is heard saying quote, i don't care what you are driving.", the officers are there, you might as well talk to them now. the incident remains under investigation. and an attorney who was

deadly crash in brockton is now being charged with vehicular sameshi hit and killed a 55 year old was walking outside of the courthouse in june. according to investigators, her suv hit the victim after traveling about 200 feet in reverse. a car goes up in flames in co-hatchet. the fire did spread to the home, but the car was destroyed. and it all was hit at the green light rain in brooyn an operator to the dazed owl on the track to a bench. he called for help. when no agency would help the bird, tufts school of veterinary medicine said they could assist. an inspector for the tsa drove the alton the facility michigan was over. some fishermen may quite a discovery off the coast of chatham earlier this week while fishing for tuna.

here's the video we were looking at now from earlier this morning. it happened about 3:15 with a great ?what appears to be a pickup truck was getting off of the government center, 93 ramp. it slams right into the guard rail. again, one person killed instantly, and it absolutely gruesome scene here at the sumner tunnel. the second person involved was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the third person suffers a minor injuries. we do have an update as far as traffic is concerned. 93 b exit is again close, but must oral drive the storrow drive exit here on the summer tunnel is back open. so, if you are heading out this morning, just be alert to what the traffic situation is. the vehicle that was involved has been removed. state police and clear the scene for the most part, so it looks like the summer tunnel may be reopening shortly. but of course, we will bring you updates on that as soon as

police track down a person of interest in a murder investigation in east boston. boston police found this woman and questioned her thursday after asking for the public's help identifying her. police say the investigation is still ongoing. in june, 18-year-old blanca inez was found dead in a parking lot. a 16-year-old has been charged with the murder, and he will be arranged today. it appears the parents and alumni of a new hampshire prep school helped a fo after being accused of sexual assault. according to the globe documents filed in the victims lawsuit against st. paul's, parents chipped in more than $100,000 for owen labrie's defense. he was eventually convicted of misdemeanor sexual assault and sentenced to one year in jail. and a group of janitors from the mbta, staging a sit in a governor baker's office. they are protesting planned layoffs. their union said they are the lowest played workers in the system.

all towns will see. we do have a couple of ice with the showers trying to slide through the commonwealth this morning. were consistent through vermont in central new hampshire. notice a line back into new york has an axis of instability sliding through southern new england, right around mid day through the afternoon. that would be our highest chance of picking up a couple of scattered showers and scared about that. not all towns will see it as this dies off to the south afternoon is the highest chance for passing the thunderstorm along the eastern mass. and bristol into plymouth county. here we go, friday evening. we are clear things out this evening, and that will set the stage for a bit of a stretch of weather extending through the weekend. 87 to 92, rakes of sun warming the temperatures up quickly. once we do get some breaks of sun in the forecast, scattered showers and maybe even a thunderstorm out there.

what do toughs medical center, the other two mass general. the good news is as far as the two victims are concerned, they are expected to be treated with non-life-threatening injuries. they do anticipate that those two people will be okay, but absolutely tragic. the young man who was driving was killed when they slammed had traffic shut down any, for quite some time, specifically, the 93 north government center ramp, which was closed even longer. it reopened shortly fo once the scene was cleared. state police once again are investigating to figure out what caused this accident and the driver to lose control, slamming into the guardrail. in downtown boston, outside of the summer travel. chris anderson, 7news, today in new england. a murder mystery. two nuns, one for massachusetts killed inside their home. police say they are the victims of an apparent stabbing attack.

killer and recovered a key piece of evidence overnight. 7's nicole oliverio is live in stoneham or one non-growth. >> nicole: that is right, sarah. her family said that she moved down south when she felt the call to serve the poor. as you mentioned, one of them grew up here in stoneham but moved to mississippi in the 80s. yesterday, the officers discovered a navigable crime in jackson, mississippi, they found a pair of catholic nuns stabbed to death inside their police identified the victims as sister paula merrill and sister margaret held. my sister meryl who grew up here and started. according to officers, both were nurse practitioners, and they were found when they did not report to work as usual a nearby hospital. now, they don't know why they were murdered, but they do believe that they were also the victims of a break in. now, the nuns were step, and their car was missing. now, police have found the stolen car. it was found just about one

right now, investigators are going through the car, looking for evidence to see if they can find who is responsible for these murders. that is the latest in stoneham, nicole oliverio, seven use, today new england. right now, north shore police are on the hunt for this man, a possible suspect in a random attack on a woman she walked down the street. 7's jennifer egan is live in rockport with the details. june? >> jennifer: there, good morning. rockport police want you to look at these surveillance cameras. police want to speak with this man in connection to a violent attack. police say he fits the description of the attacker, and was captured on surveillance video at a local store around the same time as the alleged assault. now, wednesday night around 9:00, rockport police received calls, people reported hearing a woman screaming in the area over and found a woman. she said a man came up behind

her clothes off. she fought him off, and he got away on a bike. right now, police would like to talk to the man in the surveillance video you saw a moment ago. if you have any information, you're asked to contact police. life in rockport this morning, jennifer egan, 7news new england. the copilot of a private plane headed to the airport in bedford is arrested for being drunk. police in michigan say the copilots that alcohol level was more than four times the legal the plane's captain kept off police about his copilot, saying he reeked of alcohol and was slurring his words. the company that owns the plane commended the pilot for preventing his copilot from flying. they say the copilot was immediately fired. and a boy is recovering after he had to be pulled from a chance for pull. police say the four-year-old was supervised, but he still ended up under the water in a pool at a home on gorham thursday afternoon. adults pulled the boy out of

boston hospital. and new this morning, two people are facing serious charges in connection with the stabbing of three people in new bedford. a 21-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested for the crime. the 15-year-old boy was killed in the stabbing. police say the stabbing happened after a big fight broke out involving a gang for me different housing project. the two people who were injured in the stabbing are expected to be okay. a guilty new hampshire state trooper. he is seen here, beating a man who led police on a high-speed chase back in may. andrew monaco apologized to the court and local authorities. he did not apologize to the victim though. monaco will not face jail time if he stays out of trouble for three years. but, he can no longer serve as a law enforcement officer. this morning, investigators are still searching for the cause of this huge fire that

been trained to get the owner of a vacant building for the fire started to tear it down. on wednesday, a judge ruled that the building must be torn down in the next week. now, to developing stories, strong aftershocks in central italy this morning. some of amatrice's crumbled of buildings suffered more cracks every 4.7 magnitude aftershock overnight. within one hour, there were nine other aftershocks. the massive earthquake killed 250 people. victims begin today. a deadly explosion frocks a sports complex in belgium overnight. one person died, and at least four other were hurt. police are blaming a gas leak for the blast, and officials say part of the building collapsed, and people were trapped in the rubble. but, all have been pulled to safety. now, to the race for the white house. a new university poll shows hillary clinton ahead of donald trump by double digits, with 51 percent of voters.
