52 year old randy brazier from hopkins says he saw a crash from his business as it happened. a72 year old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a pond in port st. lucie. that man, couldn't swim. brazier swam out to the man and got him out of the car before it completely went under. "when i pulled the door open. i just pulled him right out of the car with it and we both kind of went down because he panicked a little bit..and we both went down and ma fight hit something and it pushed up back up. just quick thinking..just running on instinct. just helping people that's all." a second person helped brazier guide to the man to safety. brazier will be recognized by leaders in in the coming days. a judge has granted bond for a 21 year old charged in deadly crash this morning. the south carolina highway patrol says derious sutton was driving drunk when he slammed into a woman's car on highway 321. the victim 44 year old valerie rhodes died at the

several members of her family were in the courtroom for sutton's bond hearing today. so was our mike desumma. he's live in lexington with more. mike. judi, charles derious sutton showed much remorse for his actions as he addressed the courtroom. he shed tears and apologized to the family of valerie rhodes for his actions --- and for a tragic crash that both sides say was avoidable. the highway patrol says that sutton consumed at least 7 beers and a shot at two columbia bars last night before getting in his car and driving south on 321. investigators say sutton's car then crossed the median on the highway and slammed into rhodes vehicle head on. she was pronounced dead at the scene. her family didn't wish to speak on camera but told us she was an inspiration to her loved ones...a mother to two grown children and a longtime healthcare worker for lexington medical center. as part of his bond sutton is not to consume alcohol or have any contact with the

he's due back in court in june. live in lexington, mike desumma, wis news 10. donald trump is back in south carolina tonight--speaking to supporters here for the first time since his second place finish in iowa...and just days before new hampshire voters go to the polls. our will whitson is live in florence ahead of trump's speech tonight...will? donald trump will be visiting myrtle beach once again to rally. trump announced his candidacy on june 1, 2015 for the 2016 election. during that announcement, he promised that he will be tough on isis and stop iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. according to myrtle beach sports center and eventbrite.com, a trump rally will be held at the sports center on friday, february 19 at noon. japan, vietnam, brazil," trump said at his rally." thousands of people turned out to the rally back in november, which was held at the myrtle beach convention center. thanks in part to his celebrity status---the trump campaign has been driven by huge amounts of free media exposure. but other presidential candidates are paying to get their messages out on tv. and that spending is starting to add up here in the midlands as candidates buy political ads ahead of the primaries here. jack kuenzie has a closer look. charles---tv political ad buys used to be a better barometer of a candidate's campaign strength than they might be now. candidates can get their messages out in a lot of youtube and social media. but if the campaigns have money---they still spend it. we broke down some of the

here at wis for spending both by political action committees or pac's---and the campaign organizations themselves. biggest buyer for the first quarter at this station---the pac called right to rise, an organization leaning to former florida governor jeb bush. more than $459 thousand scheduled through the first quarter. next closest---conservative solutions, a pro-marco rubio pac at nearly $193 thousand dollars. the rubio campaign though---separate from the pac---expected to fork over another $138 thousand. also in the mix, one of the many pac's promoting the candidacy of senator ted cruz. this one called stand for truth----has bought $187 thousand dollars in air time. we also see another cruz-aligned pac calling itself keep the promise 1 committed to an addtional $89 thousand. where's donald trump? a much lower figure of almost $37 thousand dollars through the end of march. all of the spending we have on the books right

million. but one veteran business journalist and media observer tells us---it is difficult to determine whether political ads on tv can really swing voters to a particular candidate. the media mix has gotten much more sophisticated and users have gone much more filtered. they filter out what they don't want to see, they don't want to hear. it isn't to say that a tv ad could not have some sort of an impact in that it gets replicated and repeated either in news programs, on social media and in other media. so that may have some sort of an effect. i don't know but the actual just running attack ads or saturation ads i think has very little effect on the voter, the undecided voter or swaying voters who have decided on one side. the democratic candidates are buying up time---but not nearly as much so far. their primary vote is a week later than the republicans.

for fallen heroes of law enforcement. with 100 days of the school year in the books--6 year old braxton redding's assignment was to put something meaningful in 100 pockets...on a cape. braxton's dad is a seargant with the lexington county sheriff's department and the two of them came up with something special. the cape remembers 100 fallen deputies, police and police dogs mostly from the past year. braxton talked about why they're heroes to him. "because they're going out and trying to find those bad guys." braxton had two recent losses on his cape, forest acres police officer greg alia and columbia police officer stacy case his father, sgt. chad redding, says he hopes this emphasizes the importance of what law enforcement does every day. as many of you are getting your super bowl plans together--we've got a great weekend of weather to look

impressive... considering less than two weeks ago he broke his arm in the nfc championship game against the cardinals. his desire and hunger to perform on the biggest stage cannot be question. how effective he will be against the broncos since the injury remains to be seen in his right arm he has a metal plate and 12 screws keeping it together for t t super bowl showdown. one thing's for sure davis is tough! remember he's suffered multiple acl injuries to his knee... and still plays the game at a high level. those injuries in the past help him mentally handle this injury to his arm. it's been a blessing in disguise to go through the things i've gone through from an injury standpoints when you're dealing with acl's. because when you're faced with a broken arm in the nfc championship game,two weeks away from the super bowl...it makes it a lot easier.when you tear an acl and you have surgery..two
