around the world. deandra corinthios is live at mitchell airport this morning with the latest. delta airlines has grounded flights scheduled to leave monday after experiencing unspecified systems issues. confirmation of monday's troubles came in an official account that responds to customers via twitter. the airline declined to immediately comment by phone and it was unclear whether all its flights were affected. "delta has experienced computer outage that has affected flights scheduled for this morning," the company tweeted to customers affected by delays. "flights awaiting departure are currently delayed. flights enroute are operating normally. we appreciate your patience." the company said its it systems were down everywhere and "hopefully it won't be much longer." several applications were affected, including the company's website. from delta twitter : due to a computer outage, flights

are investigating a deadly shooting in milwaukee. this happened in the area of 4th and chambers-- this morning police confirmed they responded to the area for a shooting. medical examiners say they were also called to the scene. no other info is being released right now. also overnight-- police say a 58-year-old man was shot just after ten last night near 26-th and meinecke. investigators say he was taken to the hospital with a serious injury, but he is now in a stable condition. police have not made any arrests in that case and the investigation is happening today - a teacher's aide who was accused of raping a student... is expected in court. 31-year-old jason price was arrested in april... accused of both rape and sending inappropriate pictures to others. he'll be in court for a plea hearing. he was charged with seven felonies. price already resigned from holy redeemer christian academy this spring. he will be in court later this morning. also taking place today-- senator ron johnson and wisconsin attorney general brad schimel will discuss the opiate epidemic

county. a news conference will be held at the hartland fire department at 1-45. this will be right before the grand opening of a display by your choice to live --a wisconsin non-profit that aims to raise awareness about drug and alcohol abuse. tomorrow wisconsin voters will cast ballots in three separate primaries across the state. the races include the u-s senate and wisconsin's first congressional district --- the seat house speaker paul ryan currently holds. today ryan will be holding two town hall meetings in south local businesses to talk with employees. the first meeting will be at 12:45 this afternoon at "a&e tools" in racine, then at "ocenco" in pleasant prairie. tomorrow's election is a partisan primary. that means you'll pick a party and vote for the candidates you want to move on to the november ballot. you will need to bring an i-d to cast a ballot. if you don't have one it's not to late to go to the d-m-v and apply. the dmv will not give you an id, they give out receipts. on this

the family of a 3-year-old girl dealing with heartbreak --- after the child was hit by a car and killed during her birthday party. it happened around two saturday afternoon on the city's northwest side. family tells fox 6 --- jayda handy was excited to see her grandfather when she ran across the street at 84th and marion to greet him-- and was hit by a passing vehicle. handy was taken to the hospital where she died. her father says he is heartbroken. she was just a happy baby. always happy. always happy. everybody loved her. birthday party because they say that's what the little girl would've wanted. the family has also set up a go fund me account to help pay for funeral costs. police say the driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. a water park in kansas city is closed today, following the death of a ten year old boy on the world's tallest water slide. caleb thomas schwab -- the son of a kansas state legislator -- was killed yesterday while riding the 17- story water slide at the

riders almost 170 feet at 65 miles per hour. officials are not releasing any details on his death at this time. the park is promising a full investigation. around the world --- the death toll growing in mexico from mudslides triggered by hurricane earl. and breaking right now --- an american is kidnapped in afghanistan. angelica is in the newsroom with details. according to an afghan security official --- gunmen wearing military uniforms have kidnapped an american officials say the two were pulled from their car on a main road near the american university of afghanistan in kabul. we're told the two are professors at the school. no word who is responsible for the kidnapping. meantime, at least 60 people are dead following a bombing in pakistan. the blast happening today outside a government run hospital. no one has claimed responsibility for the attack ... which struck the gates of the building housing the emergency ward. in addition to the deaths ... dozens of others
