investigating after a man is found shot multiple times. and the search for the suspect in a deadly hit and run continues this morning. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the latest. police say a 28-year-old woman was trying to run across the street when she was hit by a car. it happened near fond du lac and oak just after 7 last night. the vehicle that struck her was found several blocks away-- but the driver was not inside. police are still searching for the milwaukee police are also investigating a shooting that hurt a 22-year-old man. officers responded to center and richards around 9 last night. the victim was shot multiple times while in his car. he is being treated at a local hospital. there's no word on any suspects as the investigation remains ongoing. jessob. back to you. another relatively calm night at sherman park-- as residents continue to pick up the pieces from this

milwaukee county sheriff's office closed the park at 6, and the curfew for teens was back in effect at ten. those measures are helping keep the peace. the park reopens again at 6 this morning. federal authorities are looking into the destruction on milwaukees north side. the a-t-f announces it is offering a 10- thousand dollar reward leading to information that leads to arrests and convictions. the feds say theyre working with the milwaukee fire department, and the state department of justice the investigation covers a total of eight commercial fires that were set saturday night. three of those fires are near the intersections of 35th, fond du lac, and burleigh. staples brothers hardware was untouched but the owner says hes still worried about the impact the overall damage will have... youre talking about investment in the neighborhood, that might have a big impact on it. jobs and all this kind stuff, things like that, i think itll have a big impact on people- whether theyre gonna come and invest in the neighborhood. the a-t-f estimates that, when you put it all together, the

he's a young, black male who says he chose a law enforcement career over selling drugs. but fox 6 investigator bryan polcyn shows you the surprising things he wrote in a now-disabled twitter account. he's a young, heavily tattooed, black male... bragging about getting wasted and blowing money at strip clubs and casinos. we're not talking about sylville smith, the 23-year-old shot saturday by a milwaukee police officer. we're talking about the officer himself. fox 6 news has learned the identify of the officer, but because th officer has not been accused of wrongdoing, we are choosing not to name him in this story. the 24-year-old was first appointed to the milwaukee police department as a police aide in 2010. he became a probationary officer in 2013. and his probationary period was extended for 97 days in 2014. a twitter account he used from 2012 to 2014 shows the aspiring

dope game" wasn't for him. instead he was "chasing a career and a degree." but during his time as a police aide, he also tweeted about "thug love"... getting high... and having sex with someone else's girlfriend. in january of 2013, he wrote, "if your not comfortable with a pistol, its not worth having it, so use it play wit err chance u get so when its time u ready." and the next month, he tweeted, 'karma comes quicker for a racial slur on gun."his last tweet was in december of 2014, but the account remained open until tuesday. a search now shows the page no longer exists. polcyn says: relatives of sylville smith say the officer went to high school with smith, a claim a police source confirmed on monday. bryan polcyn, fox 6 investigators. milwaukee police would neither confirm nor deny that the officer we described is indeed the one who shot sylville smith. and milwaukee police association president mike crivello declined

we've been tracking the unrest for days now-- check out our extensive coverage on fox6 now dot com and the fox6 news app. there's a link on our home page. milwaukee police are investigating two death's on the city's north side. a woman's body was found inside a home near 24th and melvina. police say it appears she was killed by a man she was dating. that man was also found dead-- but the cause of his death is under investigation. one of the four men-- charged in connection with a deadly armed 18-year-old jeremiah flowers is charged with armed robbery with use of force as party to a crime. his preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this morning. police say he along with three others shot and killed 32-year-old rebecca wood last month. according to a criminal complaint, 21-year-old deanthony bradley pointed a gun at her head with his finger on the trigger. bradley told police when the victim tried to drive away the gun went off-- killing her. also in court today-- the woman

imam and his friend to death outside a new york city mosque is being held without bail. 35-year-old oscar morel denies the allegations. prosecutors are calling the daytime shooting an "assassination" while investigators continue to search for a motive. authorities haven't ruled out that it could have been a hate crime. the victims were killed as they were leaving a prayer service saturday. the son of a mexican drug lord is one of six people kidnapped from a restaurant in puerto vallarta, mexico. mexican victims taken is 29-year-old jesus alfredo guzman salazar-- one of joaquin "el chapo" gusman's sons. authorities say the kidnappers appear to be from one drug cartel and the victims are from a rival cartel. at least a dozen buildings-- destroyed, as crews continue to battle a wildfire east of los angeles. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the latest. in just a day the blaze has grown to 15-thousand acres. around 82-thousand people have
