residents and emergency crews have been working to reach people trapped under debris and clear roads blocked with rubble. the death toll is expected to rise amid rescue efforts. this story is still developing-- we'll bring you the latest details throughout wake up. kim and jessob. back to you. some news from overnight...police investigating a shooting near the same intersection syville smith was shot by a milwaukee police officer. we're told that a 19-year-old man was sitting in a car near 44th and auer around 10 -- when a suspect fired several shots into the car. hospital -- and police say the man received a "very serious gunshot wound"...but that he is expected to survive. no word yet on any suspects. a girl is in critical condition after a hit and run crash. police say she was hit by a car while riding her bike near 27th and burleigh around 7-30 last night. the 11-year-old was taken to children's hospital. police say the driver fled the scene. two carjacking suspects are in custody this morning. police say the two stole one car...and then

were spotted by a squad. police chased the two suspects before they were arrested. both cars were recovered and no one was hurt. kenosha police are investigating a shooting overnight. officers say a person was shot in the leg near 22nd avenue and 57th street. police not releasing many details about this investigation. we'll bring you any updates as soon as they come into our newsroom. a young boy dies after his head became stuck in a window. it appears the 2-year-old may have tried to climb out a window and became trapped. i think h out feet first, and the window fell down on his neck, and he was probably just hanging there. neighbors tell fox6, the boy may have been stuck for sometime, unable to breath before he was found hanging in the window. family members say this is the little boy's grandmothers house, but that no adults were home at the time. the child was being watched by some young teens. neighbors rushed to help when they heard screams, and began c-p-r before paramedics took over. but they say there was nothing they could

please god give him life. like please help him. thats all i could think of at that point. police say they continue to investigate the cause. officials say no one is being held in custody. two brothers in sheboygan are accused of sexually assaulting a woman. nh 'the victim describes being taken to a park area and being assaulted by individuals in the back seat clemente and julio rojas face 'second degree sexual assault charges.' prosecutors say the men offered a 21- year old woman a ride to see her probation officer, but when she got in the car, they took her to two liquor stores and got her drunk. investigators believe the woman was already high or intoxicated when this happened. prosecutors say that both men sexually assaulted the woman. she was able to give investigators descriptions of both suspects in large part due to their face tattoos. nh 'its clear this was a

original plaintiffs dropped their case. two of those plaintiffs are from wisconsin. however -- a new lawsuit was filed by a los angeles man yesterday. the n-f-l and the pro football hall of fame was sued -- after the packers- colts game had to be canceled because of poor field conditions. the n-f-l says it would reimburse fans. a drone that flew over lambeau field during the green bay packers game last week has been confiscated in a federal investigation. it's illegal to fly a drone over tracked the drone to a house across the street from the stadium. they say the operator has been cooperative and didn't intend any harm. however - he could still be charged depending on what the f-a-a finds. an exciting day ahead for marquette students-- it's move in day. will students can start moving into their dorms at eight this morning. the incoming class has more than two- thousand students. keep in mind-- there may be some heavier traffic around the university as students get ready for the new school year. president obama-- meeting with

california for the wildfires but two floods here in wisconsin... a large apartment fire in sheboygan... is stressing the organization. krystle kacner has their plea for help. forced from their homes in louisiana by dangerous flood waters... all of their belongings were on the streets. some tried to save what they could... a lot the streets were filled with sofas tvs...clothings, really all of their personal belongings. amber finley not only saw these situations play people living them.. a little girl came up to me and she noticed my red cross t-shirt and she asked for help that she knew because i had my red cross t-shirt on that i could help her, its just incredibly moving finley is one of more than 40 workers called from southeastern wisconsin to help down south. others... were called to california.. to help with wild fires there. but thanks to the unpredictable

the fire started yesterday morning in the southern part of the city. the bodies of two of the children were found in their third floor apartment. crews say the father jumped from the apartment with his third daughter--a three month old. she later died of trauma from the jump. police say the fire appears to have been deliberately set after an argument. president obama-- touring the flooding damage in southern louisiana. the president says people's lives have been turned upside down from the flooding. he says that while families have lost homes and posessions, local businesses are also suffering. the president added that it's not just the property damag also about people's roots. we are heartbroken by the loss of life. there are also people who are still desperately trying to track down friends and family. we're gonna keep helping them every way that we can." the president added that the government will keep helping the clean up efforts until people are back in their homes and their lives are rebuilt. while in baton rouge, the president also met with alton
