breaking news this morning - at least three people are confirmed dead... after a serious bus crash in southwest baltimore. the crash involved a school bus... police are not releasing the names or ages of those killed. they say significant injuries are also being reported. no word yet if any children were aboard the school bus at the time of the crash. we will update you as we learn more. an overnight shooting sends one man to the hospital. police say it happened around 11-45 last night near 40th and hopkins. investigators say a 23 year old man was sitting in a vehicle when he heard shots nearby and then realized he had been hit. the vicitm is being treated for a non- life threatening injury.

the milwaukee police officer who shot and killed sylville smith has been fired...but not because of that shooting. dominique heaggan brown is accused of sexual assault in a separate case. deandra corinthios is live from the police administration building with more. according to mpd...the termination is the result of an internal affairs investigation...into the sexual assault allegations the investigation found heaggan brown in violation of the milwaukee dominique heaggan brown had been on paid leave since the august shooting of sylville smith. police say smith was armed and running from police before raising his gun toward officers. that's when heaggan brown shot him. then...less than two weeks ago....heaggan-brown was then arrested on sexual assault charges. he allegedly assaulted a man at his apartment after the two were drinking at a bar while watching coverage of the violent protests. but one of smiths relatives says the firing does

suspects after a u-w stout student is killed in a violent attack. nicole is in the newsroom with details on who maybe responsible. hussain saeed al-nah-di was from saudi arabia and was studying business administration. police found alnahdi around 2 a-m sunday morning in downtown menomonie -- near a toppers pizza -- unconscious and bleeding from his mouth and nose. witnesses at the scene told police the victim had been assaulted by a man who took off before officers arrived. s police have not said what led up to the fatal beating. u-w stout's chancellor sent a letter to students and staff -- addressing the incident. he made a personal plea for anyone with information to come forward. you decide coverage now --- with just seven days to go until election day the campaigns are making their final push. angelica is here with details. neither campaign is willing to give up on wisconsin just yet. today republican presidential nominee donald trump will be in

leaves three people dead in mississippi. police say the crash happened around seven-45 last night on a highway in a small town about an hour and a half outside of jackson. investigators say it appears a vehicle struck a flat-bed trailer carrying people on the hayride. several others were injured in the incident. investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash. and in alabama -- a gas pipeline explosion leaves one another five people injured. colonial pipeline officials say the explosion happened when a contract crew hit the line with a track-hoe in shelby county. it caused three wildfires -- burning more than 30 acres in dry conditions. crews battling the flames for hours. colonial pipeline has shut down two mainlines in the wake of the explosion. no bus, trolley or subway services are running this morning in philadelphia. that's because around five- thousand septa transit workers are now on strike.

workers announced the walk-out after they were unable to reach a contract agreement by midnight. getting to school or work for more than 400-thousand riders this morning-- now becoming a major hassle.. if not impossible. now the strike doesn't affect regional rail lines or septa service outside the city.... but nearly 60-thousand kids use the services to get to and from school. the two sides are reportedly still disagreeing on issues including health care, pensions and work rules. the first of november means halloween into the holidays. but that can be a difficult time for some families throughout the area. carl joins us now as fox6 is happy to partner with feeding america to help out those in

the police administration building downtown with the latest. the family of the man who was shot...sylville smith...says they do not firing the officer brings justice. mpd says dominique haeggan brown was let go because of the sexual assault case...not because of the shooting...which is still under investigation. at sherman park monday night...smith's family gathered for an event featuring tombstones guarded by a mock police officer. the to of the men whose deaths have sparked protests...including sylville smith's dominique haeggan brown is the now - former mpd officer who shot smith near 44th and auer in august police say smith pointed a gun towards officers...prompting haeggan brown to shoot. haeggan brown is accused of sexually assaulting a man just one day after that. he's facing sexual assault...and prostitution charges. milwaukee police conducted an internal investigation. they say those allegations...not the smith shooting...led to heaggan brown's termination. but smith's

a somewhat controversial trip for pope francis. and for the first time in two years --- iraqi troops are now in mosul. jessob is in the newsroom with details. iraqi special forces continue their push to re-take the country's second- largest city from isis. a major general with the special forces says troops have entered a neighborhood inside mosul's city limits. the terror group took over mosul in the summer of 20-14 -- since mid-october, iraq forces and its allies have staged a gradual advance on the city. around eight-thousand isis militants are believed to be in the city of mosul. fifteen miners are dead following an explosion at coal mine in southwest china. we're told 35 miners were working inside the mine when the gas explosion happened yesterday. two of the victims made it out of the danger zone. meanwhile 18 other are still missing. more than 200 first responders are working around the clock to locate the
