breaking news out of afghanistan this morning. two u.s. service members were killed today battling insurgents.. alongside local troops. two other americans were injured. nato says those killed were part of "a train, advise and assist mission". the identities of those who died have not been released. the salvation army says someone is stealing money by posing as a bell help to catch him. earlier this week -- witnesses saw a man collecting money with a stolen red kettle outside of a walmart near timmerman airport. when store workers confronted him -- he took off. a red kettle was stolen from the same walmart last christmas season. but in keeping with the spirit of the holidays... and the salvation armys mission... if the suspect needed help... officials say he could have just asked: sm 'you dont need to take advantage of individuals - the salvation army as well as many other churches and agencies in

kettle campaign begins tomorrow at the milwaukee public market. a brown deer police officer -- accused of shooting a suspect in the back -- is due in court today. 27 year old deh-vin devon kraemer is charged with aggravated battery.prosecutors say she shot manuel burnley - following a disturbance on a county bus back in march. police say he was resisting officers when the gun went off. burnley survived the shooting. kraemer is on administrative leave. her preliminary hearing is schedu afternoon. also in court today-- a former sheriff's captain accused of sexually assaulting a woman at an assisted living facility. 73-year-old clarence mielke-- is charged with the sexual assault of a 50-year-old resident.according to a criminal complaint... nurses witnessed mielke in the victim's room... engaged in a sexual act last month. when interviewed, the victim -- who suffers from a degenerative disease -- claimed clarence had sex with her...quote...'lots of times.' this will be mielke's

friends and family -- remembering a 17- year-old girl who was hit and killed by a bus while walking on milwaukee's south side. it's a story we first brought to you as breaking news yesterday on wakeup. marisol sah-bye-ohs ceballos was a senior at rufus king high school. her brother says that's where she was headed when she was hit near 9th and oklahoma. "she had enjoyed going to her senior homecoming and she was looking forward to going to senior prom and i'm just deeply saddened that she doesn't have that opportunity anymore." students were on board the bus during the crash. they were not hurt. we're learning more about a deadly crash involving three college football players from the sole survivor of the accident... through exclusively obtained documents from waukesha county, fox 6 news has obtained these horrific photos of the crash that claimed the life of michigan state's mike sadler and nebraska's samuel foltz.

off the road, went airborne and landed in a ravine 30 feet below then burst into flames. l-s-u's colby delahoussaye survived the crash by escaping through a window.delahoussay e told police he believed the driver, sadler, had one alcoholic beverage that night. he also told police they were all wearing their seatbelts. in the final marquette university law school poll before the election-- clinton holds a six point lead. that's virtually unchanged ro the poll shows the fbi announcing it had found new emails that could be significant to the investigation into clinton's private server -- didn't have a lasting impact on wisconsin voters. clinton would be the first candidate in recent memory to win wisconsin without visiting the state during the general election. trump has been here five times, and his spokesman says expect to see him again before election day. donald trump is telling his florida supporters to "pretend we're losing" in order to drive up enthusiasm. most polls show a close race in florida

weeks ago. scott green is accused of shooting urbandale officer justin martin and des moines officer tony beminio in separate ambush attacks in des moines early yesterday morning. police are trying to figure out if the shooting was related to a confrontation with police at a school last month... where they asked the suspect to leave a high school game for waving a confederate flag during the national anthem. investigators are trying to determine a motive... and if the suspect ever spoke with the officers. mississippi police are now calling the burning of an church... a hate crime. they said a call reporting the fire at hopewell baptist church came in tuesday night. firefighters quickly extinguished the fire... which mostly damaged the 111- year old church sanctuary. no one was inside at the time. vandals had spray-painted "vote trump" on an exterior wall of the church. police say they believe this was done to intimidate someone's right to vote. chief delando wilson/greenville police "the reason we've labeled it as a hate crime, it's-- we feel that the quote that was placed on the church was

right to vote, whatever way they choose to vote so that would definitely be considered a hate crime." the local fire chief estimates about 80- percent of the church is destroyed. officials are offering an 11- thousand dollar reward for information leading to the conviction of whoever set it. parents in wisconsin rapids are on edge -- a sharp object was found in a piece of halloween candy. angelica jo newsroom with the details. one parent in the city found a nail in their child's candy. it was found inside a green sour apple tootsie roll. understandably, the discovery has many worried about their own children. meantime -- local authorities are working to figure out how the nail got inside the tootsie roll. they say it can be difficult to figure out if someone was tampering with the candy. police shared what happened on social media to let others know. the incident is still under investigation. rob and kim

university's newest residenc officially underway. they held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site near 17th and wells yesterday. the 96-million dollar towers will house 750 freshmen and sophomore students. it should be ready by the 2018-2019 school year. uber announced a major app update -- hoping to make the process of requesting and getting a ride-- faster. soon, you'll be able to request a ride directly to find a friend and you don't even need to know their location. by typing one of your
