and now later today it is expected that we could hear a taped interview with brittany norwood. it is what the jury won't hear that is making news. authorities allege during a check at the store murray caught her co-worker norwood shoplifting. they asked to allow testimony from a third employee who said she spoke to murray on the phone about the shoplifting minutes before her death. mccarthy argued that statement is the motive of the case. however the judge ruled it is classic hearsay and not admissible in court because murray herself can't testify. >> they need to use that, if they don't, what is the motive? >> during testimony, a blood spatter expert said murray was first attacked crouching and then kneeling and then on the floor.

according to police is that one teenage male was shot just after 10:45 last night. witnesses who were out here describe the scene where hundreds of people were with out here celebrating halloween and then at some point two groups of people started fighting. our witnesses tell us at one point they saw people jumping over cars, running away. that's when they heard three gunshots. when the crowd dispursed there was a young man laying on the street. >> it happened so fast, you could not tell what was going on. the mob kind of dispursed. there was mayhem. it was a big group of people and then all of a sudden there was nobody and there was somebody on the ground. it was just bad. it was a bad situation. >> and police have not arrested anyone in the georgetown shooting case as well as any of the other four shootings that happened across the dribbed. they are asking at this moment that -- district.

they are asking that anyone with information come forward. police have no suspects this morning. >> thanks for that update. the howard university community will gather tonight to remember a murdered student. a memorial service will be held at howard chapel. the 24-year-old was shot to death outside a mount rainier apartment building. police have made an arrest but don't know what led to this shooting. >> there is a different kind of debate stemming from a flyer created by the loudoun county republican committee. it depicted president obama with a bullet hole in his head with part of his skull removed. we explain how this flyer is angering republicans and democrats. >> this email has sparked controversy in the commonwealth and was intended to stir up support for the republicans in
