now to latest in the kidnapping of washington nationals catcher wilson ramos. fans are expected to gather at a national star tonight for a vigil. venezuelan authorities are conducting an intense search. armed men jumped out of a car and kidnapped him on monday. there's been no word from his captors. the 24-year-old was in venezuela plans for the winter league. yesterday the senate passed legislation to help unemployed veterans with government contractors. tax credits would be awarded to companies that hire veterans out of work at least six months. ben eisler is live at arlington national cemetery, with a preview of local events. >> there's a lot going on. the most widely publicized event is happening near arlington cemetery about 11:00 a.m.

a check on our top stories the mother of a young boy allegedly victimized by former penn state football coach jerry sandusky is speaking out. he felt he did not have the power to say no. mike mcqueary the person who allegedly witnessed the molestation, will not attend saturday's game. there's no word yet on when a missing baseball player will be found. wilson ramos was abducted in venezuela. veterans day ceremonies take place as the world war ii memorial this morning and there are events at arlington national cemetery and the vietnam memorial as well as in other cities across the country. a funeral today for a longtime director for abc news

and news channel 8. paul bruno died at the age of 83. he was a volunteer firefighter the more than 50 years. his funeral will be in silver spring at 11:00 this morning. deadly shootings have rocked occupy wall street protests in two cities. a 35-year-old veteran shot and killed himself in vermont. it's not clear why he committed suicide. the mana man died at a protest in oakland. they believe it may have stemmed from a fight and it's not known if the men were associated with the protest. $750 million for the attack at fort hood in 2009.
