trains in the united kingdom for the very first time. we are following more breaking news this morning. a suprsing win in a montana special election now under the national spotlight. sam sweeney is at the live desk with more. brianne.. republican greg gianforte won montana's only u.s. house seat last night despite being charged with house seat last night despite being charged with assault on thursday after witnesses said he grabbed a reporter by the neck and threw him to the ground. gianforte, a technology entrepreneur, defeated democrat rob quist to continue the gop's two-decade stronghold on the congressional seat. gianforte was a strong favorite throughout the campaign and that continued even after authorities charged him with misdemeanor assault. mondatana has early voting-- two thirds of elgible voters submitted votes prior to this incident. gianforte spoke to supporters last night-- apologizing to them and that

gianforte is still charged with misdemeanor assault and must appear in court sometime before june 7th. he could face a fine or even jail time if convicted. happening today-- a final farewell today for a bowie state student murdered just days before graduation. richard collins the third was stabbed saturday morning while visiting friends at the university of maryland. the 23-year-old was supposed to recieve his diploma this week. instead, an empty chair stood draped in his graduation gown at the xfinity center. collins had just become a lieutenant in the army. today's funeral service begins at eleven am at the first baptist church of glenard

school district and police, claiming they drove their son to commit suicide. in january, school officials confronted 16-year-old corey walgren over a cell phone video. they say it showed an explicit encounter with a classmate. court documents state, the officials threatened him. they demanded he turn over his phone, and told him he'd have to register as a sex offender. they then called his mother. before she was able to get there, he'd jumped off a roof. it turns out, the images on the teen's phone were not
