6:00 a.m. tam. >> this is developing this morning, philadelphia police are searching for the gunman who shot two people killing one man and critically wounding another. this all happened before 11:30 on the 2000 block of bell more street in the city's port richmond section. 20-year-old man was killed and 35-year-old man was shot while sitting in a minivan. police hope surveillance video in the area will help lead to suspect. >> police say a violent criminal is off the streets following a brutal attack on a student in philadelphia. police say the same guy may be responsible for a description of attacks. katherine scott is live with the details on what led police to the suspect. good morning, catherine. >> reporter: good morning, nydia, police caught the suspect 55 years old while he was assaulting a woman, they believe he is responsible for multiple attacks in university city

including two yesterday morning adjacent to drexel's campus. a string of assaults on or arrested university campuses, police have made arrests. 6:30, a 38-year-old graduate student gotten off a bus at 42nd street she walked to 41st and pine when a man struck her back in the head with a bicycle lock. the woman fought back, but the attacker tragd her down the street -- dragged her down the street. that's when officers spotted them. the officers jumped on the attacker. >> fortunately the officers were in the area and able to prevent further assault on the young lady. >> reporter: police say the same man is responsible for an assault at 41st street. it is believed he is the same
